I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy3 -
GaleSF63 said:Anyone trying to get a delivery slot on Tesco, I wouldn't worry too much because I have one booked for Thursday, but nearly everything on my list is becoming unavailable. I've got a long list of other things to replace the missing items and that list shrinks by the day. Looks like the only things I can rely on are sweet things, hardly essential, and freezer bags!
Of course there are also all the things I couldn't order in the first place because they are unavailable. My original list changed out of all recognition.6 -
I am definately innocent on the granulated sugar and crystallised ginger front, but I so fancy some ginger now!!Slightly bitter3

Youngest child went back to work last night 😃 I can’t wait for a phone call to hear all about it and to find out whether he’ll be tested for the Antibody. Please please let him be immune to this now!The community care team are calling today but my temperature has been normal for the last 24 hours so, I think I’m over whatever I had – definitely not Covid19 although I’m more out of breath than usual.
I emailed an Amber request for Milk and Liquid Iron (Amazon won’t dispatch it for 10 days). Apart from that, I am sorted for several months as long as I can get a regular delivery from one of the farm shops. The sunshine is a big factor, but I have to say I’m quite enjoying this in forced isolation. It’s out of my hands! This is the safest place I can be.
Some things don’t change, just because I’m confined to the house doesn’t mean to say I still can’t get lost! 😂😂😂
it’s taken me ages to get back to this thread this morning - I got muddled with the over50’s thread cos it translates as much the same thing. 🤪 Grrr so frustrating sometimes!Have a good day everyone. I’m logging off. I was really looking forward to the better weather so I’m not gonna let COVID-19 spoil that for me!6 -
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?2 -
That is good news, I hope it filters to the other supermarkets too - we don't have either a Sainsburys or Waitrose nearby and it wouldn't be right to register with a service I haven't used before either.
I think this is a huge logistical effort at many levels and it's clear that a lot of people are working very hard at getting it going. Give it another week or two and things will start falling better into place as we settle into a routine. Are you on the Shielding list too @unrecordings ? We've taken the decision that whilst my husband is on the list, the best way I can protect him is to not go out either, so I'm staying inside too - so we are rather at the mercy of others and being able to avail ourselves of various services. I have the easy bit, I just have to stay at home. I am eternally grateful to the people working hard to make that possible - they're very possibly saving his life.

For anyone looking for something to do while in isolation, and who can sew, this might appeal: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1500699350098765/3

Greenbee, sorry your vegbox wasn't up to scratch this time - right now you need the veg more than ever to help your body get over the virus. Ours has arrived and is looking good so far - just a couple of tomatoes are a bit soft so I'll put those in today's lunch. Still no possibility of upping the quantity to our normal level though and this week we're sharing with self-isolating rellie who 9 days in has run out of fresh. OH's car needs a run out so we'll drop it off on their driveway later.
OH is due an important blood test but having discussed it with the nurse practitioner they've agreed that going to have it done is more of a risk and they've told him what to look out for and ring them about if needs be.
Yesterday, started getting back to working through my to do list. OH joked that if I don't survive this pandemic, he's going to put my lists in the coffin to be burned with me!
Enjoying the challenge of cooking with all the ood ingredients. Loved the buckwheat that I've busily been ignoring for a couple of years and OH enjoyed the curry last night made with 'fake' coconut milk (I had a carton of hemp milk open so tried that and it worked well - just thickened it up a bit with some ground almonds). Not sure what we're having tonight yet. I'd like to make some pancakes with the rest of the hemp milk if I have the energy.
Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅3 -
@oceanspirit - can you suggest some buckwheat recipes please? I have lots - toasted and untoasted - and find it claggy and uninteresting when cooked.
Several friends have my lists, so hopefully my supplies will be topped up at various points. Having been isolated for 3 weeks now I'm not keen to go out... but I'll have to start taking responsibility for my own shopping at some point.
Today's activity has been an online yoga class followed by a deep clean of the bathroom. I miss having my cleaner each week, but I am noticing where her blind spots are (these clearly include changing the water in the mop bucket, as the colour of the water when I mopped the floor in rooms that aren't used much was eye-opening - I think she's been spreading the dirt from the kitchen/utility evenly throughout the house!)2
