I gave the person who does the most shopping for me a float. Don't know what I will do when my cash reserves are spent. I will either have to give her my card and pin nomonnagran said:I said that I would boil my coins before I repaid them. They said not to bother, they would set up a tab and we could have a sort out when all this was over.
or risk a cash machine myself. She could use the card in contactless mode of course, but occasionally my bank will request you enter your pin no. Don't really see a problem with using a cash machine if I use the one that I can 'keep obs on' from the safety of the car and use when there is no one near - wearing disposable gloves but still washing hands when home. Plus I am careful around cash itself and wear gloves/wash hands when handling.

I think what you have suggested is perfectly fine. You sound all switched on!

I'm doing electronic transfer to the lady who has offered to do my shopping. And someone dropped off some more thermometer lens caps for me this morning as delivery times are weeks.
Anyway, wish me luck. After three weeks I finally called the surgery, GP called back for triage, told me to rest, said they'd get the nurse (who lives nearby) to drop off a sick note. Half an hour later I got a call saying I need to go in. So having made a huge effort to shower and dress, I'm about to get in the car and drive to the surgery. I'll park outside, phone them to let them know I'm there, and then go in via the fire exit to the isolation room. I assume they want to check my breathing. Or whether my thermometer is actually working.10 -

“People are dying that have never died before” Trump supposedly said during a recent press briefing on the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
It's now disputed that he did actually say it but the worrying thing is that it is totally believable that he could actually have said it

Let's hope the banks don't have a brain fart over money being paid in from TP accounts!!greenbee said:I'm doing electronic transfer to the lady who has offered to do my shopping. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)4 -
anyone got their nhs text yet ? got mine. Just waffle with the promise of more waffle by text every day for the next three months
what i really want to know is how to persuade Sainsburys that I'm eligible for actually getting some food delivered before Covid 2023 pops up without warning
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?8 -

Seems most odd to be asked to visit the surgery.

I got mine this afternoon. No real info apart from stay indoors for 12 weeks. As you say how do you persuade the stores that you are eligible for deliveries.unrecordings said:anyone got their nhs text yet ? got mine. Sainsburys stil says 'contact us' without any further info apa telepone number which turns out to be their main switchboard. Looks like they're only prioritising their long term customers

have you even been able to talk to sainsburys about it? the number they gave on their website to be put on their priority list is continually busy and when i did actually get thru it was to be greeted by some perfectly useless recorded message and advised to call back later!!unrecordings said:anyone got their nhs text yet ? got mine.
