My experience with Bluestone & Brightstar (packager) so far
Found the property we liked, had a DIP beginning of June and reserved on the 7th of July. Awaited authority to proceed from help to buy before sending off full application to Bluestone which took a while but had that on the 24th of July. Had valuation done 10th of September. Lots of back a forth since then and was advised I had 3 pre offer conditions attached on the 22nd of September, we have satisfied these over a week ago and heard nothing at all. keep being told we are in a queue. It's been 87 days since reserving and frankly i'm surprised I still have the house we reserved. This has been an absolute nightmare and pray nobody else suffers the same. I have no CCJ's or defaults and have a small amount of debt, only black mark against me is a few missed payments. I have also had no hard search by them either.
We're now due to complete on Wednesday and they haven't even bothered to acknowledge our solicitors request for the mortgage funds, so we have absolutely no idea if they will be releasing them in time or not.
It's been a complete nightmare, I just wish we had another option.0 -

Once valuation status has been put on case. How long does it usually take bluestone to call estate agent to carry out valuation?0

@Ruffle13no but I think the majority of underwriting is done before valuation.0

So bluestone asked me for an up-to date address so they can send us documents as they knew I was leaving my house I was renting whilst I wait to go into this new build. Asked my broker if this means we’re finally getting our offer and he said he wouldn’t like to say lol. Bluestone also promised a meaningful update today but haven’t heard anything..0

I paid my valuation fee last Thursday. The estate agent has not had call for access yet its frustrating hopefully will heard something by the end of the week. What has other people's time scales been like between paying for valuation and the surveyor going out to do it?0
