The lady on the pre-completion call told me the amount our first payment will be which is just over half our total monthly payment. Will it be on the 1st of October?0

I’ve been reading this thread for a while as we are now 5 weeks into our application. I believe they are now doing their final checks - employment references which were returned on Wednesday - before instructing a valuation.Has anyone ever got this far and been declined, and is anyone else totally panicking that they will decline their application because of the current market?0

@firsthome22 my solicitor told me to call Bluestone to do the pre completion call.
@alynos74 there's only been a couple of people declined in the whole thread. I was buying just as the pandemic started and panicked they'd stop lending, they didn't and everything went through ok.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

My rational head tells me they’d only go to the hassle of an employment reference if they are likely to lend to us, but then my anxiety creeps in and I’m convinced we are going to be declined!

@kelt99 your broker will ask for the valuation fee / tell you to pay it to Bluestone.
Unless you've a free valuation, not sure if they're still doing that it may have been shared ownership, then your broker will tell you when it's being done.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
kelt99 said:@alynos74 I’m at week 5 also and been asked for employment contact details so probably at the same stage. Are u in regular contact with your broker? How do you know they are instructing valuation? Thanks ☺️Our broker has advised us that as long as they’re happy with everything after employment reference then the next stage would be valuation. It’s so nerve wracking!0
