Bluestone Mortgages

hi all, our application to Bluestone was submitted on the 31st May…so as u can imagine its on my mind 24/7 🥴
How long did it take for everyone thats submitted applications to when they first had contact either asking for more info or wanting to do the survey etc? I honestly thought i was a patient person until now 🤣0 -
We haven’t completed yet, but our journey so far has been
10/05 app submitted
12/05 asked for some info
17/05 asked for some more info
18/05 asked to pay for valuation
20/05 valuation booked
26/05 valuation completed
as at yesterday they hadn’t had the valuation back from Connells so still waiting to hopefully get the the offer stage.
im sure you have read all the previous comments, they are slow but manual and realistic with expectations. It will be brutal waiting so long but hopefully worth it in the end.0 -
@T70TOD oh wow so you heard from them a couple of days after the application was submitted. Ours was over a week ago and not getting much from my MA! I think i need to keep myself busy i am driving myself mad 🤣 thanks for your reply0

You will drive yourself mad, part of the process. I’ve had an update today Connells still haven’t sent the completed valuation report over so Bluestones need to chase again. Further hold ups that is a pain.0

Mine has just gone to valuation today.
Anyone know of the timescale from here to completion?

This is where we are up to currently:

Does anyone know how long the affordability check takes and whether you hear back if it’s all ok?

@afreshstart86 it could be anything
we are still waiting for our formal written offer. We had a verbal offer on the 1st JuneWhen it goes to the underwriter allow two weeks xx0 -
We have just been asked for our P60’s, a written statement as to why we have adverse credit, proof of deposit etc
how long after people submitted this info did they hear about the next step? Its mad its taken 2 weeks to request this info isnt it?0 -
@afreshstart86 you will get there my MA had prememoted a lot of stuff so I know she had things to hand when they asked but what you have said all sounds normal
I would just forget about it as it will drive you mad, the conveyancing side is even worse!Re the adverse it’s just a statement initially my back went up but it is what it is. Bluestone know that’s why you are going to them so it’s not like they will look bad on you, It’s more the affordability they look at.I’m just like just go with it, I have a great MA and the underwriter we have is so lovely, and I keep in constant contact with the sales rep for the house we are buying. What we get at the end is really Worthit.0
