Not a new build. We’re buying the house we currently rent from my parents. My broker is Lester from Haysto they have been amazing
  • We have a mortgage offer, and due to complete in April. Just wondering, can I upgrade my phone? I dropped my current one in water and its completely broken 🙃
  • Eek we have a valuation book for Monday, hopefully this is good news 😬
  • I have been following this thread for a month now, I am so happy to read of you guys getting back good news 🥳🥳 and your applications going forward.

Advice for any EU citizens, make sure that you have your settlement status ready if you’ve been here 5+ years, even if your pre-settlement is not due to expire in years. If you’ve been here less than 5 years you should be fine with the pre-settlement.

In my case I’ve been in the UK for 6 years now and my pre-settlement was due to expire in the next two years, BS wanted the settlement status (now I don’t know if my MA the one being fussy or BS) . It took two months for Home office to get back to me, and that was on me calling them every day and sending them emails, it could have took longer;  their website says it takes max 5 days, it does not.

This delayed my process with BS, don’t be like me just get it out of the way. 😄😄

It's not worth the risk with a sub-prime lender, buy a second hand one / cheap one and make do until after the keys are in your hand!
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

I think it depends on how they have accessed your case. They didn’t credit check us and the MA said it would be fine as long as it doesn’t affect affordability.

  • Has anyone been declined a mortgage from bluestone?

I agree with @MovingForwards, don’t risk it just get a cheap phone for the mean time, it’s just for a couple of months.
