Our valuation was done Thursday more documents were submitted on the Friday, was due an update anytime now and nothing as yet how long did everyone’s valuations take? Ours was booked before it went to the underwriters so I’m stressing 😩 I’m praying I get an update tomorrow as the wait is killing me, just want to know if we’ve got it or not now, been told we’re near the end but they can’t say how near the end we are and my brain is dying for some good news haha!

My case has been reviewed by underwriter who said he’s happy to proceed with valuation. Paid for this yesterday, how quick are bluestones valuers out to the property to complete this step?

Also just wanted to know at this stage do they wait for valuation to comeback and then request employer reference and landlord references.

Or is it pretty much valuation and then offer?

I’d rather they request these documents now so we can speed up process as suppose to waiting for valuation to come back to then request these.

We didn't need employer or landlord references as they had seen via our payslips and rental payments that we were responsibly paying the payments on time and our jobs had been steady for the last 2 years minimum, so you might not need them.

I prepped new bank statements, payslips etc all ready just in case though.

It depends on when they can gain access to the property. Our vendors took just over a week from us paying for valuation as the house is empty and they don't live locally. It's pretty quick from the payment for valuation to them wanting to book a date. We received our offer within 2 days of the valuation report being back so hopefully won't be long and you'll have your offer. We were asked for landlord reference before underwrite along with bank statements to prove rent payments so I would hope that if they haven't asked for a reference they won't now it's with underwriters 🙂

This makes me feel so much better seeing about your landlord reference not being needed, we provided 2 years of bank statements showing direct debits for our rent! Ours has been with underwriters for about two weeks, my MA was on annual leave all last week so nothing was submitted that they requested until Friday just gone, our valuation was paid for by bluestone due to being HTB etc and they booked that 3 days after application being submitted, we’re due an update any day now and I’m praying for good news!

@jaboat it depends on surveyor availability, mine was a couple of days after paying.

@Lottien95 I provided a transaction list showing my rent payments, plus it all tallied with the bank statements. An employer reference was also provided.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Same I’ve provided them with two years of filtered bank statements showing rent payments, last 3 payslips and P60. Now it’s technically been to initial underwrite I hope they don’t need further information. I’ll be prepared just in case.

I was fully preparing for them to request the references but they didn't which was one less thing to have to worry about which was great during a really stressful process!
