This is week 10 for us 🙈
Valuation hasn’t been done and I have no idea when it will be. I really hope we hear something this week 🤞
Here is where we’re at so far..........
    Dip end of Feb
Application 26/3 lots of documents over the weeks.
    Valuation fee taken 26/4
Hard search 7/5 but didn’t show up until 17/5
    More info requested 20/5
MA said we're with underwriter... Apparently🤷‍♀️

@Zigzag86 I feel your pain although we’re not as far along as you. Will be week 6 as of Friday and we were asked for a couple of documents about a week after our application and haven’t heard a peep ever since. The valuation has been done and it’s come back as spot on. Not had any credit searches and have been told that we’re at underwriter stage. Ours is a pretty simple case so I don’t think there’s anything particularly difficult to investigate so we’re probably in a backlog which is frustrating. I just want to know whether or not we’re able to get the house!
  • Everyone’s timelines are varying a lot. Good luck to everyone this week. We have our valuation tomorrow so I’m hoping for news this week

10 weeks is madness 😱 and not even a valuation! I really hope you hear something soon.

Do you always have a credit search when applying for a mortgage? I’m just so confused how we’ve got this far without a search! I’m hoping that everything is going okay and they not put us on the ‘no’ pile and just not told us yet 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I’m hoping it doesn’t mean we have to wait another 6 weeks as I’m starting to dream about the mortgage being declined and this is our last chance at getting a mortgage so a lot rides on it.

Fingers crossed some of us get at least an update this week!
  • @Zigzag86 we applied approx the same Time (end of March). I should have been fully packaged 3 weeks ago but a document was declined due to wrong letterhead (not my fault it’s the form they sent me) so as of last week that is now sent back to them so I think 🤔 that I should be in the queue now for the underwriter. No valuation no search yet. I have paid for the hard searches but they’re taking ages and also the sellers solicitor isn’t replying to my solicitors requests for information. I hope we both hear something very soon. Sadly I suspect that even with an offer the hard work will only just beginning. My worry is I will get the offer then not complete in time and have To start mortgage application all over ago. Or there will be a last minute change of mind at bluestone after I pay the 10 percent on exchange. It’s just an ongoing worry wish the whole thing was done and dusted.
