Bluestone Mortgages

Sorry if this is a silly question…. But why do bluestone give a verbal offer and then wait a few days before given a written offer? Is this a standard thing? It just seems weird, like why not just issue a written offer and be done with it? 😂0

Possibly. They can defo ask for a extensionJLW_25 said:
I hope so! I was expecting to have the mortgage offer valid for 6 months as I thought this was the norm. Maybe Bluestone is different with them being adverse?Kb21 said:

It should be 6 months with a new build.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
We aren’t buying the new build we are buying the part exchange property but have to wait for their new build. They’ve said that they will extend it by 1 month (so takes us to end of September) which still doesn’t help because it won’t be ready til October. So we are going to have to reapply all over agin 😩MovingForwards said:JLW_25 said:So I’ve got my written offer today however the expiry date is 25th August and we are only due to complete our purchase in October 😩 so I don’t know what to do from now! Oh, yeah that's the standard extension with them, which your broker should have known.
Will your credit history / financial situation be any day different then or would it still be Bluestone you need to use.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
I don’t think any of us expected it to go through so quickly, and was expecting a 6 month offer with there being a NB in the chain. We have no adverse credit so it’s getting better by the day the reason we had to use Bluestone was because my partner had missed payments last year. I don’t really want to have to pay another valuation fee for another lender - but when we applied there was only Bluestone would have us. Just have to see what happens 🤞🏼 XMovingForwards said:JLW_25 said:

Got a couple more soft searches done on our credit files (last time was for the dip) on Monday. Hoping that means its now moving along their system somewhere. When abouts did the rest of you have searches done?0
