Bluestone have asked for ID from our parent who are gifting - They had their bank statements and all of our documents - is this a positive step or just standard. Im hoping they would have looked at our information before requesting that from our gifters?

Unfortunately it’s standard - we were asked for that information nearly 3 weeks ago and haven’t heard a peep since.

i think a lot has to do with the broker. You could get a request from your broker For more info, send it back to them, and not know when they have actually sent it on to BS. Always feels like you are waiting for BS when it could be the middle man.

I haven’t heard anything back as yet, lots of questions and request the day after submitted but now nothing at all for 2 week?
It wouldn’t surprise me if they ask for more info just to buy themselves more time and the info is not really that relevant. Could be a way of managing their SLA’s!

    Who is your broker?

So I’ve got my written offer today however the expiry date is 25th August and we are only due to complete our purchase in October 😩 so I don’t know what to do from now! Waiting for the broker to come back to me...

I think its actually more the packager than the broker. They are the ones who are in control of it all and when its submitted etc and the brokers left to be the fall guy with us.

I hope so! I was expecting to have the mortgage offer valid for 6 months as I thought this was the norm. Maybe Bluestone is different with them being adverse?
