Those buying new builds, have developers been understanding with the delays? Ours have called every week so far. I can’t imagine what they’ll be like after 8/ 10 or even 13 weeks😬1

@Nedsawaiting so far ours have been really patient and they said to me on Saturday that they understand bluestone is super slow but they’re happy with everything so far so happy to wait for our offer.1

@cosy2020 ours just rang, have told them our application is with bluestone. At least they are aware now and won’t expect things to move too quickly. Thank you for your advice, came just in time for the call😁Cosy2020 said:@Nedsawaiting so far ours have been really patient and they said to me on Saturday that they understand bluestone is super slow but they’re happy with everything so far so happy to wait for our offer.0 -
The money had already been transferred to my partner prior to us submitting the application initially. Only cam to light when the underwriters questions why such a large deposit had taken place. You think they will still ask?Fingerscrossed16 said:@Swanslad31 they may also ask for 3 months bank statements from the giftor too to see the funds in their account.0 -
Yea they need to see where the money has come from. It’s because of money laundering. They will need to see the bank statement with the money in the account and then the proof it’s gone into your partners accountSwanslad31 said:

Also worried about this! We were advised 4 weeks to exchange at the beginning of May which is obviously almost up, and our application is only just going in to bluestone from the packager. Already losing sleep about this whole process so god knows how il be 8 weeks plus down the line 🤦🏽♀️Nedsawaiting said:Those buying new builds, have developers been understanding with the delays? @Swanslad31 yes they will want to see the statements of the account it was gifted from as @Kb21 mentioned. Nothing with these guys is straightforward, but hopefully worth it in the end.0

100% they make you work for your mortgage that’s for sure.Fingerscrossed16 said:@Swanslad31 yes they will want to see the statements of the account it was gifted from as @Kb21 mentioned. @Nedsawaiting ah brilliant timing then! I think I said before but we went ahead with our searches to prove that we were serious about progressing and that seems to have worked.
I know how you feel - when the application first went in around mid April I was so nervous everyday. We haven't heard anything for nearly 2 weeks now. Valuation is today though so fingers crossed we get an update soon but know that we have to exchange sooner rather than later with the new build is stressful!L_and_A said:
