Congrats to all who have had offers.
My solicitor just emailed to ask how the mortgage is processing. Had to reply I genuinely have no idea, I don't even know if its actually been submitted by Brightstar or anything. So frustrating!
  • Just noticed on their website they are now working cases submitted on 7th May, hopefully hear something soon.

After 13 weeks and 3 days since application was submitted finally had verbal offer today. Valuation was carried out on Thursday for anyone waiting
Congratulations.  We had our Valuation yesterday which was confirmed as being good to go this morning, so hopefully we will have our offer in the next day or so.

    Hi all.
Been following the thread for a while and in the same boat as most. DIP last week of March and application submitted 1 week later. I want ahead and had all the searches and valuation done on the hope the full mortgages gets approved but still keep getting asked for recent bank statements etc. As part of the deposit is coming from a giftor they needed a form to be filled in which I done start of last week. Spoke to MA yesterday and advised they won't get round to looking at it until at least next week. Will they ask for any more info from the giftor... I send over their photo ID also just incase

We had to provide a photo of giftors id and  a photo of them holding it, 3 months bank statements and a signed declaration that the money is a gift and not a loan.
