Connells have been instructed to carry out our valuation today. Anyone know current timeframe when this will be carried out?  Also how long from valuation to offer? Thanks
We had our valuation instructed 14/05/21 and booked in for this Thursday 🤞 on the final run now
Are Connell's carrying out ytour valuation?  Wherein the UK are you please?  I'm supposed to get an update today.  It's dragging on far too long now.
Yes they are attending on Thursday, we are in the East Midlands if that helps?

I know it says processing applications fully packaged in 29th April but what is fully packaged? I was told on 12 may that they would proceed with a five year fixed based on affordability and didn’t require any more paperwork. So would that be fully packaged? Would it have been bright star or bluestone that changed it from 2 to 5 years. My mortgage advisor didn’t say. I get very little info. I know that I applied end of March. Sent a few things, had a gap of 3 weeks when I heard nothing and now the 5 year thing was mentioned. Just wish I knew either way. There’s no chain. I imagine the seller is wondering what’s going on and I wouldn’t blame him

Your must be quite far on if they have looked at it all and have come back with the offer of five years instead of two unless that was something they said when doing the decision in principle? Can you not message your broker and ask him exactly what stage your application is now at?
  • Well I’d like to think I am quite far on. No it wasn’t dip stage. At dip they upped the deposit from 15 to 20 % I think that was March. My most recent email said due to affordability will I proceed with a five year fixed term and that was a week ago and I’ve heard nothing since. I agreed and the mortgage advisor  said they would let them know I am happy to continue.

I have only had updates the last two Mondays and was for more info. So not sure if that's the way Bluestone, Brightstar or my broker works. Its such a horrible state of limbo to be in. Its consuming my whole mind all week except for the weekends when I can forget about it because I know there won't be any updates.
Id defo message your broker for an update on where you are at now if it has been a week with no news.

Thank you.  We are east midlands too so it will be interesting to see if we differ....
  • Just checked and they are working cases from 28/04 and now have 14 working days for underwriting...
  • Contacted MA just now and they replied to say “application has been submitted to lender”.
I kinda worked that out already but wanted to know when 🤣

im guessing many people just sit back and wait. I’m more of a hands on kinda person and like to know every detail. I think that’s what makes it hard because we all seem to be just waiting, and waiting and waiting.....

How do we know when it goes to underwriting is that from when the application is submitted? I wish we would have access to the online portal.

I’m exactly the same I want to know every step and what will happen next and how long.
  • It’s the worst thing not knowing... apparently it should flag on the portal to the MA when it’s being underwritten. Mine only went in last Tuesday so not sure if I’m now expected to wait until they work cases from that date and then when they pick it up, a further 14 working days for it to be done. That would make it about 5 weeks time, surely that can’t be right!!
