So I was expecting my written offer yesterday , had valuation done , had two underwrites done , it was in the “ final decision” stage and I was told it’s just one final check and to expect offer and instead I got “ there’s an affordability issue” shot down at the last hurdle .. hoping it’s just something easy to fix and my broker all over it but i find it rediculous after two underwrites they don’t pick up on any affordability issues and on the last little check they flag it .0

Oh no. That should have been flagged first. I’m sure it’s only minor and your broker can sort it out. I am So nervous, after reading the threads I thought I was in a more secure place now valuation has been done. But am not!lewis27 said:So I was expecting my written offer yesterday , had valuation done , had two underwrites done , it was in the “ final decision” stage and I was told it’s just one final check and to expect offer and instead I got “ there’s an affordability issue” shot down at the last hurdle .. hoping it’s just something easy to fix and my broker all over it but i find it rediculous after two underwrites they don’t pick up on any affordability issues and on the last little check they flag it .0 -

we recently had a condition to fulfil for our mortgage. It was to do with affordability as well. But we haven’t had our valuation yet, it has been instructed now though.lewis27 said:It actually states on there website on there ‘mortgage process form” that valuation will only be instructed once there happy with the underwrite .. so I don’t no what’s going on ..0 -

You set the date with them.
My draw down was a few days before the end of the month, completed on the 1st, it was the following month on the 1st when they took the first payment plus a bit more interest.

It doesn't feel real even after moving in. I still go room to room, look around, huge smile and say this is mine, all mine 😁mortgagetakingages said:Awesome thanks for the info. Just entering into final underwrite following valuation so it's starting to get real
