@j_d1988 when did you reserve your home? I've told our developer that they need to wait longer than the proposed exchange date but I know they're not going to expect the type of delays we're probably going to need with Bluestone!

We reserved in Sept last year, we got everything ready to submit the mortgage app in Oct (inc HTB form) but were told to wait until December by the developer when they had the new HTB.

December came and went and so did January/Feb and the finally in March we were able to submit the full application!

Delays came from the developer so i'm hoping they dont pull it!

When did you reserve and put your application in? x

@j_d1988 oh you've been waiting so long you poor thing! How frustrating! You'd think they wouldn't pull it as they were the ones holding it up before.

We only officially reserved 20th March and only got our authority to proceed last week so hopefully submitting our application today or tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get an update soon. It must be torture!

We have paid for searches and everything to keep the developer happy... just so concerned now!

Literally just had an email from them to say its in final checks?!? I do hope they mean with the underwriter!

@j_d1988 that’s brilliant news - sounds to me like the final step. When did you apply - was it early or late March?

Yeah we’ve had our searches done as well just to help the process along but it’s nerve wracking just in case we don’t get the mortgage then that’s money wasted! How far along is your build?

I'm hoping that's where it is you know... its been the longest process with all the delays! We applied Mid March and havent been asked for anything additional just yet.

That was my worry, the wasted money but when your hand is pushed and you want something so bad! lol

The actual completion they wanted was next Friday 30th April but i went and had a nosey over the weekend and there looks to be another 3 weeks work yet! lol

    How about you??

@j_d1988 it sounds promising! Ooo fingers crossed that you’ve only got a matter of days to get another update - hopefully your offer! Ours isn’t ready until October but I want all the mortgage stuff sorted so at least we can rest about that.

That's what I'm hoping for, unless my broker just told me that to shut me up haha!

And that's just what we wanted to do, to have everything in place! xx

@j_d1988 was your case complicated in anyway? I don't think ours is. I've got a default that is 21 months old, a few older defaults (all of which are paid off), a couple of missed payments. Husband's credit is squeaky clean and our affordability is really good. Just hoping that we don't have to wait over 3 months!

I don't think the MA would say that just to keep you happy, otherwise they'll be in big trouble if you found out haha!

I've had a default 2 years ago and my other half a credit card at the moment, it is quite straight forward from what I can see and affordability is no problem also

Its still stressful thought isnt it????

I'd be fuming if id been fobbed off lol!
