I've actually had a property before with a mortgage for 10 years thats the only reason i put the comment on thereMovingForwards said:j_d1988 said:My annoyance is... when a hard search is carried out it affects your credit score!
If they have no intention of lending dont check it! lol
The credit score we see is not the same as what any lender sees, it's the credit history eg bills paid on time, late payments, CCJs etc and your circumstances eg income etc the lenders see.
How can anyone know if they possibly want to lend you anything if they don't check you out, not everything shows up on a soft search.
I thought of this as more of a community however i'll not bother...
It is a community.
I comment on this thread as I do have a mortgage with them and can reply to queries based on first hand experience as someone who came through the otherside.
Stick around, I appreciate you're stressed, but the information is invaluable.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

Is anyone here going through sale and purchase process and getting a mortgage on the purchase? Our application went in yesterday on the purchase. Our deposit is solely coming from the sale (approx £46,000) and mortgage amount of £138,000.Wondering what else they might ask from us other than mortgage statements, bank statements and payslips? I know a lot of people get asked for more documents but not sure what else they could have?Any advice on this would be helpful

Can anyone help? We are due to complete a purchase next week , I thought bluestone needs to contact each applicant by phone before they release funds, is that correct? Have asked the officials btw but no answer yet and I need make sure I'm available if this is the case.0

We have and just cleared underwriting. Our deposit is coming from the sale and they wanted the memorandum of sale, wage slips and bank statements. I have some unsecured loans but they didn’t want anything from those as our affordability was fine even with payments and they were showing as on time on our credit reports. The only other thing we had to provide was a letter stating why we had to go to Bluestones (they were looking for significant life events). It does take a while for them to go through them and they will always want the most up to date ones so if you cross over a month it’s best to just send the new ones in. Anything else they ask for seems to depend on individual circumstances. I had prepared credit card statements and loan statements but they didn’t ask!JLW_25 said:Is anyone here going through sale and purchase process and getting a mortgage on the purchase? x We don’t have any credit commitments other than my credit card which is paid by direct debit each month more than the minimum payment so hopefully that will be fine!0 -
Honest they may ask anything. We had ours approved by the underwriters yesterday and then at 4.30 they decided they wanted another load of stuff. We now may not be able to proceed because they won’t except my mother in laws id as a giftors.JLW_25 said:
