No, we had already booked in a homebuyers report with an independent company which I thought was the right thing to do. It’s just the estate agent making us doubt that nowMovingForwards said:vicki_w83 said:A bit off topic but looking for some advice. Our valuation is booked in for next week and we have a survey being done next week too. The estate agents seem confused and said it’s unusual to have both a valuation and a survey as anything major would be flagged up in the valuation? This is my first house buy and I thought we’d need both but I don’t want to waste money if it’s unnecessary!
Valuation = value of property
Survey = condition of property
Did you not upgrade your valuation to a home buyers report or full survey?
Just carry on as you are and wait for both reports.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Thought all was ok after the underwriters spoke to MA’S employee we just needed a declaration form signed.... them bam turns out no they have asked for another load of stuff.... overview for my husbands tax return (my fault as i send wrong one) another copy of a dmp in place they have misplaced it and cannot find it, they failed to realise we had savings we were using towards deposit so questioned why it was short, questioned some banks transactions. 12 bloody days waiting again 🥺 i really feel like giving up nowc249401 said:

Hi everyone
We have had our MIP with Simply since March and found a property last week and had an offer accepted yesterday.What happens next? What will they ask for? What sort of things can they question?
I’m terrified it will all go wrong and we will lose our house (pessimist here).0 -
I wish 😭😭🥺pipsinbrum said:@kb21 nooooo your joking?!0 -
Oh no! It might not be 12 days, there was someone on here that thought they’d have to wait 12 days but ended up getting their offer the next week!Kb21 said:

Oh that’s not good, we’re looking to apply soon and using the old Help To Buy as well. Where we are, this help to buy scheme ended in April for applications and will pay out the 20% as long as the house is completed by 31st December.Annonymoushousebuyer2021 said:We have an offer, however now we have an issue with the help to buy. We have the old scheme in place which has been extended until May. Bluestone want us to have the new scheme and use that, we don't understand why? Everything is already in place to complete and exchange and now this 😔Keep us updated with your progress!0
