Is anyone here going through sale and purchase process and getting a mortgage on the purchase? Our application went in yesterday on the purchase. Our deposit is solely coming from the sale (approx £46,000) and mortgage amount of £138,000.

Wondering what else they might ask from us other than mortgage statements, bank statements and payslips? I know a lot of people get asked for more documents but not sure what else they could have?

Any advice on this would be helpful :)
They will want proof of any credit commitment, bank Statements showing mortgage/ rent payments, any debt u have and proof of payments, trust be be prepared 😩
Thank you! I am prepared just wanting to get a better idea of what they might ask for - my nerves are not prepared tho haha!

We don’t have any credit commitments other than my credit card which is paid by direct debit each month more than the minimum payment so hopefully that will be fine!
Honest they may ask anything. We had ours approved by the underwriters yesterday and then at 4.30 they decided they wanted another load of stuff. We now may not be able to proceed because they won’t except my mother in laws id as a giftors.
Oh no! I best be prepared for anything then! 😩 I hope they do agree to proceed soon for you!

Sounds like you’ve been through the mill with your application! How long has it been ongoing? X
    Honestly it’s the most stressful
thing I’ve ever done and I opened a business during lockdown 😩😩. We had a dip on the 24th of feb application went in on the 9th March  x

Our DIP was 04.02.21. You have to use a packager for Bluestone, our was Brightstar, they asked for loads of info and this took around 3 weeks. Our application was only sent to Bluestone on 26.02.21 and we got our offer on 14.04.21.

I hope this helps. I was getting really worried but this thread helped a lot! It is a long process but you will get there :)

Our dip 24th feb, application 9th March, underwriters came back this week with a load more requests and now we may have to back out due to my mother in law having no photo id... she’s 81 never driven and her passport expired in 2015, they won’t expect her bus pas (which has a photo on) so we are well and truly stuck.

Our full application went in on the 24th Feb, we finally got through to valuation last week. Valuation booked for next week and our MA expects an offer about a week later. It’s not a quick process and the key really is to be patient and provide what they need 😊

Explain this and ask them what they would accept as alternative ID. She will receive annual letters for her state pension and other pensions, plus bills, bank statements etc.

Ours went to a case manager who checked everything was in order before it went to the underwriter I think? But everyone’s journey on here seems to be different! 🤞 you hear back soon!

But have you asked what they will accept as your MIL doesn't have the standard ID they're asking for. That is something your broker should be finding out for you.
