Bluestone Mortgages

Just to jump on here. We were asked to pay both fees up front to Brightstar back in Jan, it doesn’t really mean anything paying for these things. If you haven’t asked for your valuation to be pushed through and then Bluestone instruct it, that’s when you are moving alongKb21 said:@pipsinbrum ours is still at the application stage had our DIP on the 9th March 🥺. Had lots of forms to send, hopefully the last ones sent over today. We were told not to pay until it’s done with the underwriters so I would say your in a strong situation. I’m just doing my own head in worrying what could go wrong. I wonder how many have had there application declined and why?0 -
Hi all, I had my DIP back in February and I thought my application had been getting processed, MA was on phone yesterday saying they want to wait till end of April to put my application in to bluestone because house isn’t ready till Oct and they don’t want us to have to apply for a mortgage extension....
but they are now asking for us to use some of our deposit to pay most of my 02 phones off, we have a 5 phone contracts because I have all the kids contract phones. They said that will show good on our bank statements..I’m worried tho that I pay all them off (I don’t struggle to pay them) and I still don’t get my mortgage, we decided that if it didn’t happen we would use our deposit money to do the house up that we live in now...
has anyone got any advice? Obviously I’ve had to go through bluestone because we’ve had rubbish credit history in the past but nothing for about 3/4 years.0 -
We’ve been told we will have an update from the “formal underwriters” on Monday. The wait is slowly draining me - DIP 11th Jan!0

@SarahYC83 who told you to do that bluestone or your MA? We have outstanding phone contacts on our credit file but haven’t been asked to do that. We had our DIP on 9th March and it’s still in the application stage coming back and forth with wanting diff docs every day.0

Wow really??! Ive not had an offer yet so have seen varied timescales for this.peanutbuter said:
Well done if that is true, but I find this so annoying when we applied last November and then waiting again since the 9th March when our underwrite was actually carried out to still be waiting for an offer. I’m sure we’ll get there but it’s so frustrating when others are being turned around in a month.SRH2021 said:I’m not sure whether the timescales are accurate(unless it depends on the packager) we have had things turned around quite quickly
we have had confirmation that our valuation is fine and they said they are just doing final checks and we should hear by the end of the week? Our application was submitted on the 8th March
who is your packager I do think some have better connections0 -
Just to join in - we received our DIP on 3rd March - our full application went in on 15th March1

Wow. Are you buying a new build or older house? I'm hoping our sellers and buyer holds out for us 🤞Hopeful89 said:

Older house. It’s just been a case of the packager not asking for all the documents at once and then consistently requesting the same docs over and over. We only went to underwriters last week!pipsinbrum said:

I am at the same stage as you, got asked to redo the gift certificate/send payslips for Feb it's so stressful waiting. Best of luck!Hopeful89 said:We’ve been told we will have an update from the “formal underwriters” on Monday. The wait is slowly draining me - DIP 11th Jan!1 -
