@kb21 we haven't been waiting that long (application 5th March). We sent back extra documents they asked for last Thursday and have been told its with the underwriters now. We paid the valuation fee and broker fee to Brightstar on Monday. So nervous about this stage. Keep expecting the phone to go and then ask for more stuff etc. When did yours go to underwriter?0

@pipsinbrum ours is still at the application stage had our DIP on the 9th March 🥺. Had lots of forms to send, hopefully the last ones sent over today. We were told not to pay until it’s done with the underwriters so I would say your in a strong situation. I’m just doing my own head in worrying what could go wrong. I wonder how many have had there application declined and why?0

For what it’s worth, I haven’t seen anyone declined. There’s a huge amount of information they want which is to be expected with the associated risks, but if your packager does their job you’ll be fine. It was a horrific 6 weeks for me, but we got there in the end. Hold your nerve! 👍0

That really is a long time. I agree, definitely chase your MA and stay firm. I suppose you could look at it as no news is good news, but you should have an answer by now. Let us know how you get on and good luck!0

Kb21 said:@citylife that’s a huge wait... what has your MA said? I was it’s 9 days for applications and 11 for underwriters but seen people getting through a lot quicker. We are only having a £104,000 mortgage but u surely should have things sorted
Our original MA done everything and then left her job in Dec. Our case was passed to another MA who we suspected didn’t picked up where she left and kept asking us for more info we told her we already before so we had to send info again. Our valuation was on 14th January, we where told 11 days wait. Then more bank statements. Each time we sent, we are back at the queue, 5 days week etc Declaration forms send back and forth, Bluestone not happy with electronic device, form must be printed out sign, with ball pen and scanned back we have done that several times, Bluestone still doesn’t believe we used ball pen, so final straw was to post original form signed with a ball pen today. MA kept saying she’s doing everything she can.

why pull our reservation from us when we are so, so close to the offer. The New homes said our completion date should have been in Oct (1 month after reserving the house, they only give you 1 month to get a mortgage 🙄 ) so they agreed to extend deadline 26th March 2021. our MA is aware. We are so sick with worry.
I’ve managed to email one of the business case managers at Bluestone!!! Apparently he emailed out an employer reference to my boss but it went to the wrong person, so it was forwarded to me and I forwarded it to my boss !! Needless to say I got his email address0
