Still no news on our mortgage offer.  We have been waiting 10 weeks now at the final review. Our HTB process has been extended to end of May.
Now we need to complete exchange on our new build house on 26th March.  Our MA and BrightStar been calling, chasing and leaving messages, if we don’t exchange this Friday we will lose our new build house and £6,000 we spent on flooring, carpets etc
this is such a nightmare and Bluestone is being shortlisted for the MA Mortgage Awards ?!!! 😢

Oh no, they still haven't sent you you're offer? We are the same we have to exchange and complete this Friday, which finally is looking likely now. We got our offer 3 weeks ago though🙈. Is your case a complicated one? The whole process with bluestone and brightstar is so stressful from the start, constantly chasing and waiting! Hope you get your news very soon 🤞

@annonymousehousebuyer2021 we have 2 giftors to and and juts been told they need to sign a declaration and send prof of money being in the bank
  • We had the full underwrite completed on the 9th where they asked for 2 more docs which were sent same day.  Valuation was done on the 2nd March.  MA calls them every day and keeps being told that final underwrite/offer is imminent and that our case has been flagged as urgent but nothing happens.  It’s so frustrating, we’ve been at this since the end of November.

Hi, we have an application currently being processed through Bluestone, i believe it is with the underwriters. Today we paid the valuation and £299 fee to Brightstar. Is this a good sign? How long after valuation fee is paid do they instruct the valuation?
Its all so nerve wracking 😬

@pipsinbrum yes it’s a good sign if it’s gone past the underwriters stage. That’s what we were told today. It’s the underwriters who make the final decision. And that’s why they don’t take any payment until that point.

Still haven’t received an offer.  Last week bluestone emailed a mortgage application declaration to my employer it went to the wrong person, an admin worker who alerted me, it should have gone to my boss!!! I don’t think our case is complicated....  My partner has excellent credit score  but I have 1 default, 2nd default is nearing 3 years old, the other 2 is £40 and 0  defaults all paid off in 2016-17 no CCJs,  missed payments in the past going back to 2018 but all updated now.
My job is fixed contract (been with employer  2 years) we are not first time buyers, I sold my house and have big deposit.  My partner also sold his too. We only want to borrow 45% mortgage . We have good income.  Congratulations with your mortgage.  Hope all goes well for you.  I have haven’t slept for days now.  Not sure what to do next apart from telling our MA to keep on at them daily ...

  • How much did that cost if you don't mind me asking? We have two giftors?
It cost them about £250 for the declaration and the legal advice
