Bluestone Mortgages

Thank you,polarbear1975 said:Reading a lot on here about people having the same anxieties that we had through our process, especially when it comes to asking for additional documents when you thought you had supplied everything. Don't know if it is true but our MA and packager thought that they sometimes do this as a delaying tactic when they are busy to buy a bit more time. Send an email asking for a bank statement and push that one off the desk for a few days.
Stay optimistic though, even though that is unbelievably hard. Just before and after Xmas I was convinced they would pull our offer due to the impending lockdown but we completed eventually. To get to offer stage Bluestone have also invested a lot of time and money into the process so they will want, where possible, to see it through as well.
Good luck everyone!
It's so hard to stay optimistic, I'm literally driving myself insane, constantly refreshing my emails, checking credit file for new searches, it's effecting my sleep now too, just want a yes or no that's all this not knowing is just torture. 😩0 -
We've received a verbal offer! Final underwriter has put the case in the offer queue for the formal documents to be issued tomorrow. Hoping we can now exchange and completely ASAP.4

Hey I’m new to the forum, I am so glad I found all these comments, I guess this is what what we do when our minds go into overdrive. We have submitted all of our details to our MA and he said he would submit the application today or tomorrow so we are at very early stages, the developers we are buying off kept repeating how slow bluestone are which makes me feel a tad nervous but I’ve seen some quick Turn around on here!

Still no update from Blue stone, I am loosing faith in my mortgage advisor. All she keeps saying is bluestone aren't quick. I had a chat with simply adverse tonight and they seem to know more about what they are doing. Has anyone changed to simply half way through application or would it be starting from scratch.0

How did you get your verbal offer? I asked our MA this yesterday if they will give a verbal before sending over formal documents and she said no they do it all in one 😔0 -
Yes go with Simply! You won't regret it, they have underwriters and close connection with Bluestone. Go ours from submitted to offer in 21days. We tried and failed with a rubbish MA and Brighstar last year. Just make simply aware 😊samster1 said:Still no update from Blue stone, I am loosing faith in my mortgage advisor. Can you tell me what the cost was up front. If I understand correctly its £1995 for the arrangement fee is bluestone £1495 on top and all paid up front. Did the £1995 include vat and include any of the conveyancing fee.caspre12 said:

Hi. I don't know if it's the same for evweyone but the £1995 os only paid on receipt of the offer, nothing upfront. The £1495 was added to the mortgage amount for us but I don't know if you have the option of paying separately if that's your choice. Ours was exactly 21days from app to offer with Christmas and New year in between. I cannot recommend Simply enough. You get what you pay for. I have had some questions after the offer stage and they are still the most helpful team I have ever dealt with. They won't let you down.samster1 said:

I was thinking of doing that but I’m worried I will go back to the beginning and our help to buy needs to be on the old scheme. Just crossing everything we get an offer soon.samster1 said:Still no update from Blue stone, I am loosing faith in my mortgage advisor. All she keeps saying is bluestone aren't quick.
