  • Our valuation was done 29th January
MA said that it would be at final underwrite and we should have hear an answer the following week, only to later tell me on Thursday that apparently the first underwrite hadn’t been completed. Im really confused, all the info on here and on bluestones site says that they do a first underwrite before valuation and then final underwrite then offer. Has anyone else been told this from there MA? I was thinking we were very close to the final stage but now I feel like we’ve been put back to square one as if they haven’t looked at the application at all then it could end up being a big fat no 😳🥴
  • Hey all, been in our home for over 3 months now thanks to bluestone and now im busy making the biggest overpayments I can whilst looking to the 1 year mark to see if I can jump into a better interest rate. I have to say that things do move quickly even if it doesnt feel like it whilst you are waiting but before you know it you will be in your new home so everyone waiting, relax and don't stress :)

    Yes, upto 10% a year.

I've been making monthly overpayments since before they took the first payment.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Were not planning to overpay....will be saving that money and paying the early repayment fee after a year to transfer to a better interest rate.
  • Update
Valuation has been instructed this morning. A huge step forward.
  • Hi, could someone kindly let me know if Bluestone are carrying out desktop valuations or in person? Thanks.
