We had our MA come back to us today to ask if there was the possibility of upping our deposit as bluestone are querying why we don't spend as much as they suggest on our size family! I suppose affordability must be tight in their opinion. Our MA has pushed back to confirm we're careful with our money. The wait is so stressful! Our MA has said it's back in the queue to be assessed now so another 5 working days.
    Has anyone else had similar?
Congrats to all that have had good news since I last logged in!

Sorry should have added that when I queried how much more deposit would be needed the MA confirmed they had pushed back to Bluestone and would only use this option if needed 😕

We’ve just got the Verbal offer from Bluestone, will have documents tomorrow 😁😁 So happy to finally be at this stage! Thankyou to everyone who previously recommended brokers, we went with Simply! Application Submitted on 12th January, Valuation on 20th Jan couple docs request and offer today 🙂
Congratulations! 😁 How long after requesting more documents did you get your offer? We was told they had everything they needed now and was with final underwrite, then 2 days ago asked for the rest of Januarys bank statements as the statements we had given was only up to the 15th from the last time they requested 🙈
It was yesterday they requested 2 documents, I was expecting another delay but Simply seems to have pushed it through quickly so happy about that
Congratulations 🥳 that is fantastic news. Everyone has similar stories and seem to get there in the end doesn’t stop the worry until that point though. What did they request yesterday? They have just requested more from me and I’m worried it’s going to be another 10 day wait?
They wanted a signature discrepancy form completing as my signature was different on my ID then my Bluestone documents I signed. TBH Simply have been amazing, they did a pre underwrite so Bluestone have had everything they need

It depends who your MA is, we originally tried and failed last year with a MA who used Brightstar and had most stressful time as they kept repeating questions and querying expenditure on top of the 5 day wait between each response. With Simply the turnaround has been a day for each reply

Unfortunately not with Simply as having read this thread so many people have had amazing results!
We're with mortgage thoughts who have been great so hoping this continues and we get a positive result asap!

Oh blimey. I signed mine using the Adobe signature thing and my is definitely different to my ID signature! Our application final document went in on 22nd Jan and I’m assuming they’re going to come back with a few questions after reading this thread. At least it’s preparation!

I’m going out of my mind. We have had valuation and now they are asking more questions. Do they take 10 days to assess each bit on info they are sent? Or will they look at it a bit quicker now we are hopefully near the end? I can’t take much more waiting. I’m hoping it will be worth the wait. My application went in 21st December 2020
We are in the same position as you, we haven't been asked any questions just for more bank statements, we are also at our witts end we just want to know now yes or no so we can plan ahead.
It’s so difficult waiting, I feel like it is all going to fall apart at the last hurdle. I knew they asked a lot of questions but also think we may not have a pushy enough MA.

Yes we feel exactly the same about our MA, she's not pushy at all and it's so frustrating as we're paying her money and feels like she's not doing her job properly! My husband is adamant its going to be declined now as its taken so long. I don't see it though as its got this far, and haven't seen anyone been declined on this thread? Fingers crossed we both here something soon 🤞
  • Reading a lot on here about people having the same anxieties that we had through our process, especially when it comes to asking for additional documents when you thought you had supplied everything. Don't know if it is true but our MA and packager thought that they sometimes do this as a delaying tactic when they are busy to buy a bit more time. Send an email asking for a bank statement and push that one off the desk for a few days.
Stay optimistic though, even though that is unbelievably hard. Just before and after Xmas I was convinced they would pull our offer due to the impending lockdown but we completed eventually. To get to offer stage Bluestone have also invested a lot of time and money into the process so they will want, where possible, to see it through as well.
    Good luck everyone!

Thank you for this post, honestly it’s stopped me chewing my nails just now. I’m so bad at the moment that I refresh Experian every few hours to see if they’ve done a hard search even though I know that’s pointless! So thank you for the positivity it’s really helped :)
