    24.38p standing charge.

Yeah good for batteries,  not ideal for my plan of removing the gas boiler this year.
    Hmm
We were toying with the idea too but I can't see it now.

Confirmation from octopus today, my go ends on February and currently looking at 30p standard rate and 7.5p cheap rate.

Electric boiler out the window then🙁
Wow quite a rise... but with my current usage pattern will not massively affect me..... less than £50 a year, what is the standing charge?
Actually fractionally lower for us ...... https://octopus.energy/go/rates/

24.86p a day here versus 25p at the moment.
Not for me 30.6 and 7.5... plus the times quoted would not be as beneficial for me as my existing deal
Is the 30.6p not the daytime unit rate Mick ?

Realised I was quoted the go tarrif of 7.5, whereas I'm on go faster at what will be 6.75, so a 50% rise for the cheaper tariff and over 100% for the base rate

I will be delighted if I am offered that with the same 5 hour slot!  Not sure when my deal expires maybe March

The 2030 slot no longer exists. You will have to choose another slot on renewal

What is the earliest slot?  Don't suppose there is anything I can do except go for the earliest available

Not great, on the one hand. But helps with the case for more batteries on the other. 🙂
Thinking on from this, yeah it's a very good point.
Previously the difference was around 9.5p or roughly 3 times.
In the near future it will be 22.5p or roughly 4.5 times.

I think I may have enough justification for a third inverter and another 4 batteries.

    Hmmm

Does irritate me a bit that Scotland produces so much cheap wind, but we still have to pay the higher transmission charges and for the gas powered electricity of mid England and South Wales.

I suppose the argument would be the pooling and sharing of resources

Think its 8.25 for the 5 hours, but I can't seem to find that anywhere tbh
