Lux ac battery controller

Thought I'd start a new thread for the Lux battery controller as suggested on the battery storage thread.
To kick it off, I notice there is an entry on the web portal stats under "history data" for battery temperature (tBat°C) but mine just shows zeros.
There's also entries for max and min cell voltage but again, no figures showing on mine.
This information is available over the RS232 port on the Pylontechs so should be available to the Lux.
Is anyone else seeing anything under these headings and if so, what firmware is your Lux on ?

Nothing on my AC coupled Inverter or my sons Hybrid so I'm guessing firmware is not the issue as we are on completely different products and firmware

    Cheers Mick.
Possibly something they haven't enabled in any firmware version yet, although I can't think why they wouldn't ??!!

I confirm mine doesnt see it either, but its not a battery issue, as my sofar could see the temp when it was connected to the same batteries

To add to comments earlier, i've been using these Octolux scripts for a few weeks and they are fab.

    https://github.com/celsworth/octolux

You only need something as low spec as a Raspberry Pi..... even a Zero W would be enough.

Amend the rules file to suit and it will charge using Agile (or Go) etc automatically for you at the right time.

That leads me to believe even more that it's something lacking in the Lux firmware.

I didn't have anything under "SOH" either until they updated my firmware.

Ok, so theoretically i'm getting a 2xpylontech 2.4 + LUX head unit installed on Saturday for a ridiculously low price of 1800 - installed.
been assured i'll get an invoice, it's all brand new in box + original etc. They'll run me through the software once installed.

Can you guys provide any guidance in terms of what i should 'watch out for' - stuff that comes to mind would be version numbers, capacities, cycle counts of the batteries etc? Is there soome simple status page i can see everything and make sure i'm getting something authentic and new?

Also - if i wanted to firmware upgrade, how would i go about this? presumably TR cannot support a unit they didn't provide?
    5.41 kWp System, E-W. Installed Nov 2017
    Lux + 3 x US2000B + 2 x US3000C battery storage. Installed Mar 2020.

I can't help with your questions, but that sounds like a good deal. Is that available for other people or a one off?

I initially contacted "China" enquiring about a manual to explain the software configuration they sent the manual as a PDF and  gave me details of their UK office.

I contacted "Infinity Innovations Ltd" and they updated my box so nothing to do with my installer.  Others have said use installer but I did not have any success with them.

I would also be interested to hear how much you paid for the Pylons and where you sourced them as each of those would normally be around £800.
