Hi all, I have an LXP3600 and three Aoboet 2400 batteries. My system suddenly stopped working this afternoon and, on inspection, one of the batteries is sort of half on and half off, by which I mean the central red and green LEDs are both off but the green light around the power switch is staying lit.

I turned everything off and unplugged the battery from both the power and comms cables and the light still stays on:

Has anyone seen this before and what can I do to force it to restart? I've tried holding the power button down for both long and short periods without success.

  • sorry Ian not seen this one before. when you press the on/off button does the battery contactor "clunk", I guess I'm thinking about fault finding and this would be the first to try. Also what does the Aoboet app say regards status of the battery ?

It doesn't clunk when I press the on/off button, it's like it's completely frozen somehow (the other two clunked as normal when I turned them off before disconnecting everything)

The other two batteries are showing in the app as just being in standby, the offending one isn't showing as online in the app - I'm used to them not being reliably online but I assume this time it's genuinely dead? 😬

I've sent an email to my installer who have been pretty good in the past but obviously they won't see it until Monday, maybe if I'm lucky it'll magically reset itself over the weekend...

There is a pin hole underneath the run light. This will force a reset/reboot. I have had to do that a few times. All web configurations will be lost.

Of all the times I've had to reset the batteries (they go mad about once a month) and I've never noticed those pin holes!

Thank you so much for your advice, it all seems to be working again now 👍🏻

  • @ianatkin having another look at your photo, are you wired correctly for an aoboet and not a pylon tech?
Aoboet are wired battery to battery with the master battery having b plus AND b neg to the inverter unlike pylon tech that has the first and last battery (b plus on first and b neg on last) wired to inverter?

I moved it a long time ago so the inverter leads were at either end - I agree the Aoboet manual says to have them at the same end but that doesn't make sense in terms of equalising the usage of them individual batteries over time.

  • Just thinking that might be why you are getting problems. The aoboet is totally different to the pylon in the way it equalises usage. I have found mine feeds one battery to another as part and parcel of its day. I can watch battery 4 having a larger hit whilst battery two maybe has a charge from battery 4. I wonder if it is done by computer chip rather than pylon techs balance methid
