I haven't been able to connect since yesterday and my batteries are continuously draining down. I have connected to Local Mode, set Charge Priority and Charge enable but this is having no effect at all (each time I log out and in again, they have gone back to being greyed out and the batteries keep blinking as they discharge.

The dongle is connected as the wifi connection (using an Android as Local Mode will not work with my iPhone 13pro) so everything should be OK - the initial page showing SOC, charging etc is working but I no longer have any control over settings

    Please help!
So here's the thing. Even though the server is having issues there is still some reachability. The server is set to overide any local settings so if you want your settings to remain sticky you need to isolate the Inverter temporarily from the internet. This can be done on your router by creating a deny policy to 120.79.53.27 IF you know how to do that and the policy needs to be the topmost rule. If you don't then the other thing would be to login to the dongle itself and change that IP to something like 192.168.53.27 and then reset the dongle. This will prevent it reaching their server until such time as we know the. server is stable again and then you can change it back. If you have ZERO IT knowledge then I suggest you leave well alone.
Thanks, I do have some IT knowledge/experience but not the time to attempt this so will wait as I believe once the batteries reach somewhere around 10% they will stop discharging. At least I now know that it is a global issue.

It seems crazy that the server will override local settings even if it is in fault condition whereas local mode should surely be the the default in situations like this.

Was offline for me at times today and I couldn't set charging times earlier this evening, kept getting the timeout message instead of confirm. Seem to have done OK now, setting the battery to fill overnight on the Agile cheap slots. I'll keep an eye on it though in case it resets.

As I said, we have just moved on to Octopus energy and on their stamdard tarriff, the idea being to wait until the smart meter is installed and the see what the options are.

I understand that this can be a complex subject, which is why I asked if there was a Mickey Mouse/newbie/introduction guide somewhere.
    Again, thanks for any pointers.
@madswitcher you might want to start a separate thread, your query might be overlooked in here.

  • My Lux did come back online a couple of times after almost continuous disconnection for several days but since early this morning it has been offline all day.

Is there still a problem with the Lux servers or is this something to do with my inverter or dongle?

(I'm not at home for several days so have no other means to connect or even check what is happening with the batteries etc).

  • Had similar issue few weeks back.  Was unable to use the browser portal nor the LUX app to make any settings cos their server was not responding. Still out as I decided to go to bed so  set charge times on the LUX converter itself using its display panel & buttons. I managed to set several time slots to charge the batteries, which worked fine,   but was unable to set any LUX “Charge first / Charge Priority” settings using this panel on the LUX converter, they just didn't seem to exist,  which I thought was curious    (maybe I missed something)
