I upgraded mine online 15th June, got confirmation email, account name showed as Reward, then by 21st it had been downgraded to Current account again. Halifax CS tells me it will 'automatically upgrade again on or around 1st July' but I'm not convinced.

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6158242/why-still-reward-current-account-halifax/p3As already reported. Just upgrade manually - again and again.I've lodged a formal complaint over both whether you can have both a sole and a joint of the latest Reward accounts and, more importantly, whether each one can receive Reward Extra benefits.0 -

The irony, last Wednesday, was how proud they were that they'd been clever enough to downgrade the joint account, rather than BOTH of the sole accounts - thereby leaving us in the best position they could. Two days later and they had unrewarded the two sole accounts. That was just a near-coincidence of multiple stupidities, I guess. You really couldn't make this up. Absolute morons.0 -

Is it still only possible to move from old rewards to new rewards via a phone call? No, you can "upgrade" your, now non-reward accound to a Reward account online
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6158242/why-still-reward-current-account-halifax/p3B.S. - not from the Badger but from the blind mice (AKA Halifax IT) running around in panic mode - as usual. My reaction - three times, now - is to upgrade when they've downgraded the account. Ironically, when I've upgraded they've got the Reward options set up as I originally set them - in May.S N A F U
OK, I was just going to wait & see what happened on or around 1 July, which is apparently when my account would automatically re-upgrade itself.
However, nothing to lose, so I'll upgrade AGAIN today.0 -

However, nothing to lose, so I'll upgrade AGAIN today. After a couple of tech error messages, managed to 'reupgrade' to Reward Current account, & name changed immediately. It also said I'd already chosen Rewards Extra, & showed my correct progress. Just need to top up my debit card spend now.

The little guinea pigs can do that for us by calling and creating incidents and complaints".One word: TERRIBLE.If I were to enumerate the things I am seeing in my tracker you just simply won't believe them. But that is subject of another message, if any.2

Maybe marketing really wanted this re-aligned Rewards account live ASAP.0

where_are_we said:I am "on track" for the £5 reward for June (go to Reward current Account - current account options - reward extra trackers)My £500 debit card spend has a "tick". I will be using some of the various £500 spending options mentioned earlier in this thread. It would be useful to know if anyone has completed a £500 debit card spend of a type which did not qualify for the "tick" of approval.0
