Why should we all have to do all this checking and correction?LBG - more like NBGBecause Halifax IT clearly wasn't ready to launch Rewards Extra, despite the 3 months between the announcement and the official launch (which I am sure they knew a lot earlier as it's standard in IT 1 or even 2 years before going live)Sounds like a normal bank IT project (thinking back to TSB).The timing wasn't great given the pandemic, I thought they might have delayed it by 6 months. Maybe marketing really wanted this re-aligned Rewards account live ASAP.
But launching no matter what with such poor coding and testing quality has its risks.
Although it has to be said that over time, after most bugs are fixed, those who stay will reap the benefits of the scheme. Those who leave, or downgrade, well no, obviously.

2. Patience will pay off for people like forumites here, who indeed are patient!1. Tell that to TSB, where the login process for their internet system still comes up with requests for page reloads.2. Earlier this week a friend of mine had to remind a bank that a compensation payment for the bodged opening of a five year bond was agreed to be a cash payment, not a credit to the bond, on the basis that the friend was not going to be around in five years. Do you believe this reply from the bank? They had to credit it to the bond in order that they could withdraw it out of the bond as part of sending the compensation by BACS.Yeah, right.0 -
I've just had £500 refunded to my debit card on one of my three accounts due to an error when trying to fund an NS+I account. Took NS+I 20 days to refund but they have offered £40 compensation.I will wait until the weekend to see if the £500 funding green tick disappears before making another payment.0

1. I am a TSB cust myself and no login issues, touch wood. Despite the many issues on the news for months couple years back I have always liked them Those issues paid us 5% interest on account balance for an year or so. I like the simplicity of their screens, just took the old Halifax model with barely any changes made later on. Halifax menus and screens became a cumbersome monster meanwhile.
2. This is beyond stupidity from that bank. But being a PO cust nothing really surprises me anymore.0 -

Better hurry up and start deposit ASAP.
Halifax insistently warn that disputed transactions don't qualify.
Mind that last day of the month is next Tuesday and debit card payments take time.1 -

Anyone know how often the rewards tracker is updated?
My usual credits don't go into my account until the 26th of the month so under normal circumstances my account will not show as being on track for the reward until almost the end of the month, however, funds from a matured savings account went into my account on the 23rd but the tracker (website and app) are showing last updated on 22nd. I had assumed the tracker would be updated daily but clearly not, hopefully this will improve over time.0 -

Mine is taking 2 - 3 days. Payment made 23rd hasn't yet tracked, even though it was debited 24th. I expect it to appear tomorrow, but possibly dated todayTracker shows last updated 22nd.

But as long as your in-payments and spend show on your transaction list by the 30th (or 31st depending on the month), you are safe.1
