Halifax Reward Account changing to £3 charge with “lifestyle rewards”

When the 1st or 2nd fell on weekend under the old system, think rewards weren't paid until the Tuesday. So it's possible the same could happen here

Mind, a reward account's end-of-day seems to be at around 22:30.

Strange thing - i forgot about this completely. Just checked my account and i got a reward of £2 from halifax? I did the 1500 transfer but no £500 spend on the debit card. Strange how they paid me £2.

7th july according to my statement. Very confused as i did not spend 500 pounds. Infact, i did not spend any money this month from my halifax. Although i do have two direct debits and put in 1500 last month.

IVe had a halifax basic account for years and upgraded to the reward account in around april. Early april

oh ok. you are right, i never noticed. I just had a look now and i got 2 pound in may 1st, june 1st and july 7th.

So it looks like from next month the new rewards start.

Yes, Yes, Yes...!!!!

The £5 reward has been paid on all my accounts - the £500 deposit into a savings acc  trick does work! 

I reckon we should leave any minor existing direct debits, etc so that Halifax may think the accounts are being used properly.
