Looks like haifax are playing games with me.  My account has been changed automatically to the current account because i did not inform them on June 1st of my switch. All lies, as when i upgraded in April i was told it would automatically switch over to the £5 rewards in July. Not a big deal, i just upgraded online again to the same account that i upgraded to in April. Maybe thats why i did not get any notification - however i still did not get the £2 notification for the rewards which is odd

After 111 pages of discussion our "Peaches En Regalia" (Frank Zappa) moment has arrived! Looks like many of the different type of Debit Card payments have worked. It would be interesting to know of any that haven`t worked.
Well if seems 111 weren't enough 'cos they're going over the sensitive bits again in Top Bank accounts thread, in case Hfax hadn't clocked this one....

I haven't the patience to wade through 114 pages, though I've done about 25. Very simply: I don't currently have a Halifax current account; if this is like the current Lloyds 1.2% for keeping £5000 in the account (due to change in October), I would go the £5000 balance route (I've no interest in the DD route); I would deposit £1500 each month and remove it within a day.
Does this get me the £5 reward which works out at the same 1.2% at Lloyds? Have I missed anything?

    1. There is no requirement for Direct Debits.
    2. The £5/mo balance route requires a minimum of £5k balance throughout the month
    3. The £5/mo Debit Card route is simple - as well explained previously.
    4. You can't rate this against Lloyds as this £5/mo can be achieved on zero balance !

i have all the notifications set up on my app - infact ile read them out now

    Smart Alerts - On

    Spending Summary - On

That is the only two notifications i have with Halifax. Is there meant to be something else in the notification tab in the app?

There is payment reminder. Not that it's relvent. Maybe you have blocked some outside the app?

I got mine on monday as expected. Obviously push notifications are dependant on when the push occurs.

I only have smart alert and spending summary notifications on my app. There is no option for anything else. Am i missing another notification panel?

For those who are non taxpayers, the 5k option is actually worth £6.25..
You can't claim the tax back with the DC spend option
Thanks to earlier messages in this thread I've tried to reclaim the tax from a few years ago when I wasn't a tax payer. My claim was processed 5 weeks ago according to my online account, however they haven't told me the result of the processing. I suppose it's a busy time. It's around £15 I'm hoping to get back, happy days!

    Hi everyone,
For those who have the Halifax app, is it possible to view accounts with other banks on display-only mode similar to RBS and Natwest apps?
