Well done to both of you
Vindication for Plan A in the Newbies FAQ sticky thread
To always complain to the landowner or retailer , a cancellation through them is best and also alerts them to malpractice and harassment by contractors2 -
Sorry just catching up!Definitely a brilliant outcome. Parcap Investments - they have a contact number it’s best to call. I initially submitted via their website but got no answer.2

(a) the landowner is now pee'd off with Euro PS for annoying customers and issuing predatory PCNs, and
(b) you cost Euro PS a fair amount, for all the photos and crap they sent you by recorded delivery for your SAR!
Ticks all the boxes for me.
Alert the landowner, get a cancellation and slap the parking firm down and cost them money!
Make sure they erase your data now. Email their DPO again and TELL them to erase your data now that the landowner has told them where to go and that they clearly had no reasonable cause to get your data fro the DVLA, at all.
Tell them you will report them to the ICO if they fail to erase your data within seven days.
Who was the landowner contact please, and which exact site?
Might be useful later.3 -
I was furious to receive a ticket in a Sainsbury’s euro car park recently, For overstaying, so quick google and realised from you all it’s an invoice and After reading through the newbie advice (thank you for the step by step) and preparing for a fight I began step no 1 email the CEO - my email is as follows if it helps anyone else in similar position. (Personal stuff removed)
Dear Mr Roberts
I am writing regarding a Parking charge notice received whilst parking at the Xxxx Store in Xxx on 11 July 2020. See attached this ‘notice’ was issued by Euro Car Parks on 17 July 2020.
My first mistake was assuming that an hour and a half to do a full months shopping for two families as We have been shielding together (and working from home) since 17 March would be enough. After driving in and finding a space, donning masks, sanitising, getting a trolley, queuing to get in , sanitising our trolley and social distancing within the store – when we finally got to the check out and paid the bill of £xxx (which we split 50/50 – this can be verified), returned to the car, packed the shopping all in, returned the trolley, sanitised again, removed our masks, had a drink of water and drove out etc – it clearly wasn’t enough time. At no time did we leave the site.
By the time we had done all of this we had overstayed – our arrival was 08.52 and we departed at 11.11 – a total time of 2 hours and 19 minutes. For this additional time taken I have been charged £70 or £40 if I accept liability and pay – which I do not, and will not do.
In these unprecedented and trying times I don’t think its unreasonable to extend the amount of time that is given to shop safely, I understand this and wait patiently in the queue and abide by all the social distancing rules, of course this means that the time given to parking at your sites should also be extended appropriately – and I hope that you will look into this.
I know you will say that Euro Car Parks are independent operators of your car park, but your name and reputation are why I visited your supermarket that day.
I have no intention of paying the ‘notice’, but as a goodwill gesture I would appreciate it if you could contact Euro car parks and request on my behalf that this ‘fine’ is quashed.
I would have also contacted your Store Manager at Xxx direct but no email address is available. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes
Etc
Thought it might take a while, but pleasantly surprised to receive the following response after just a few days.

Sorry realised I hijacked someone’s thread apols2

Don't worry about it , it highlights what we keep telling people about plan A , the complaint to the top person , highlighting the issues which your brilliant letter above did in great detail
The car park limits were set pre covid and I don't know of any car parks where times have been extended due to covid requirements , it's a form of entrapment in my opinion
I doubt that any action will be taken but at least you have nipped it in the bud and brought the issues to their attention , so well well done2 -
