It could be clearer but it is there. Not sure why its such a surprise to people that they are limiting C & C slots to one a week per customer account.YoursCalley x1 -
TBH I've given up with the big 4. They have me on their list as shielding and I have just given up with trying to get a slot.
My experience with Iceland is the exact opposite. They hold slots explicitly for the vulnerable and I can get a next day slot most of the time. Hats off to Iceland.0 -

Its to allow everyone a fair chance at getting a slot. As they don't know the extra slot you want is for someone else. Also I guess it to stop people from stock piling as we saw at the start of all of this.A lot of people have been caught out due to Asda taking the payment a day or so earlier. Its so slots are not wasted due tolack of funds and they can offer it up to someone else. As so many people are desperate for them at the moment. I have been lucky and manage to get a Asda slot every 14-16 days.YoursCalley xI don't particularly have a problem with them changing the rules. But at least tell people that the rules have changed. That's my gripe.
I keep getting irrelevant emails from CEO's of Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco but it would be good if they actually provided some useful information.0 -

Would think it was obvious if I have booked one slot and I can't see another slot for another 7 days that I can't book another one. I can't even get slots with ocado, morrisons or tescos. And I am shopping for myself and somone who is shielding in another household.Seems to be much stamping of feet about getting deliveries all round. Yes the supermarkets are not always getting it right and are doing their best under trying circumstances. But It seems most people have no idea how a multi million pound company works either. Its not like fred blogs the one man band down the road. He can make the decision to do x and y straight away. Companies have a chain of command and its not a simple as some people have suggested to easily up the amount of deliveries with extra vans and staff that both need to be found and pay for. And this was all dropped on them from no where. This is what normal is going to be like for a number of months. So people have the choice to suck it up and get on with it as best they can or spend the next few months moaning about. I know which one I will be doing.YoursCalley xHope for everything and expect nothing!!!

I'm not "moaning". I asked a question and others have been pretty helpful. Unfortunately, as my dad is recovering from a heart attack and triple bypass surgery just a few weeks back, it's not as easy as being able to "suck it up and get on with it". I have to find other ways of resolving the issue which, now that I know the "rules", I can.I'm a fairly well educated person and continuing to work full time. My point is that if Tesco (or others) want to change the rules, then a quick email or website notice would be really, really helpful.

You claim to be a well educated person but that still does not anwer the question why you think when C & C and home delivery slot are like gold dust you would think you could have more than one a week? My first port of call would have been looking on the supermarket FAQ's.And as I have said they are multi national company the demand for C & C and home delivery has risen over 200%. They are trying there best to get the food in to the stores and in our homes. And some times thing slip through the net. And guessing that this has. But they did put the info up in one of there FAQ.In this thread and couple of others in this part of forum all it seems is that people are running down all the supermarkets and there staff. Many who are working very hard on minimum wage. While putting up with abuse from the general public. While a lot of the ones complaining are isolating at home. And no I don't work for any supermarket or any where with in the food industry.Sorry if you think I am being harsh but I am sick to the back teeth of people who can't seem to see outside of their little bubble to what is really going on. I am well aware its a stressful time for all. I got called a t!!t this morning because I queried why someone was not social distancing from me. There were two pavements and a road. If I move 10ft back away from you when you are exiting an alley. Sure sign I don't want to be near you. They thought stepping in to the gutter next to the pavement I was on was 6ft!!!!I hope you get it sorted one way or another.YoursCalley xHope for everything and expect nothing!!!

I think Tesco are limiting to one shop per week because other members of a family or friends are using one account with a delivery saver pass to get free delivery for all the family. I know someone personally that was doing it. She her mother and sister were all ordering from one account. having several deliveries a week.0

When I looked on my local Iceland online delivery website they had free delivery slots, this was following an email where they said they had increased delivery capacity. In the early days of COVID 19 you couldn't even get on to the online system unless you were on the Government shielding list so things are definitely improving. Likewise I am finding it quite easy to get click and collect slots with Waitrose.0

For Iceland we've been given a priority link weekly via email and can book slots from 9am instead of 11am.
Not on shielding list.
We haven't used it but booked the normal route when we've needed one.
Our fulfillment store is now open another 4 hours, 6 days a week for delivery so a big increase in capacity.0
