I have seen an isolated slot appear a couple of times on the Tesco website for the next day, which I guess is from someone cancelling late.

If it's the following post, then it's been merged into the 'Online shopping delivery slots issues' thread:

I've just received a Morrisons Food Box, inside was penne pasta, microwave rice, a large loaf, 1kg carrots, 3 peppers, 3 onions, broccoli, potaoes, 2 packs of back bacon, 2 packs of sausages, a block of Cathedral City cheese, a litre of Cravendale milk, pasta sauce, boiled ham, butter, 2 tins of soup, a tin of baked beans, 2 kitchen rolls, and 4 toilet rolls.

Not sure if it would feed two people for a week unless you want bacon and sausage every day but it's a good selection, although when I ordered it it said there would be some fresh meat, chicken or beef, and there isn't any. Husband's just suggested making sausage meatballs to go with the pasta and sauce.  B)
I think you were just unlucky, my box arrived this morning and I'm very pleased with it considering the situation with shortages, I doubt whether I could have picked the same amount up in one supermarket visit. The meat is diced beef, bacon, 2 large chicken breasts, and Richmond sausages. Nothing fancy but can be dressed up with some herbs and spices to make some decent meals. I can't say I'm a fan of Morrisons as I find their food a bit ordinary but full marks to them for coming up with this idea at a time when food is not easy to come by.
I would be very surprised if your local butchers could not accommodate you with as much meat as you require. Many local farms and butchers are posting on local Facebook groups and they are able to deliver too

Then I created a login on Iceland, it let me fill the basket, then when I tried to book a delivery date, it needed proof that I was self isolating or at risk.
How on earth are you expected to be able to prove that you are self isolating ?

Just what I was thinking at the time. I contacted my surgery yesterday, because I have a couple of health issues, but there was only a pre-recorded message, saying that the government would be getting in touch with at risk/vulnerable people in the next one to two weeks and to not phone the surgery.

For anyone wanting to order a Morrisons Food Box, they seem to be making more available now. Instead of the usual no availability message, at this very moment I'm getting 'you are placed in a queue..............estimated wait 19 minutes'.

  • M&S has now launched online food boxes.

Marks & Spencer has become the latest grocer to sell food boxes online as part of a national effort to protect the vulnerable and keep supplies moving.
The chain will deliver £30 packages containing 20 items such as pasta, rice, curry, cooking sauces and Percy Pig sweets.
M&S will give priority access to customers over 70, identified via its loyalty programme Sparks, and will impose a limit of one box per customer. Boxes will be dropped off contact-free for a delivery fee of £3.99.
