Apologies if this has been posted already, Asda locally to me in Co. Durham have now reduced availability of delivery slots to just 2 weeks ahead, presumably same at their stores everywhere.0

I've just received a Morrisons Food Box, inside was penne pasta, microwave rice, a large loaf, 1kg carrots, 3 peppers, 3 onions, broccoli, potatoes, 2 packs of back bacon, 2 packs of sausages, a block of Cathedral City cheese, a litre of Cravendale milk, pasta sauce, boiled ham, butter, 2 tins of soup, a tin of baked beans, 2 kitchen rolls, and 4 toilet rolls.
Not sure if it would feed two people for a week unless you want bacon and sausage every day but it's a good selection, although when I ordered it it said there would be some fresh meat, chicken or beef, and there isn't any. Husband's just suggested making sausage meatballs to go with the pasta and sauce.5 -
We returned from Spain 10 days ago and have been into every supermarket in the large town where we live several times and have yet to see a single toilet roll.
I don't understand the problem with delivery slots as there are thousands of professional drivers effectively unemployed.0 -
GHolmesAdmin said:There are plenty of foodstuffs available on Amazon, I have had quite a bit delivered to my door recently.
We have previously bought on Amazon Prime, Amazon Pantry and Amazon Fresh, even <2 hours at times. Now no slots are available for us (London suburbs). Even trying to buy previously bought products produces 'no longer available' or similar.0 -
A couple of possibly expensive options if all else fails.
Some New Covent Garden traders offer home deliveries. www newcoventgarden com (insert your own dots) for details, including delivery areas. I ordered a £25 box of fruit and vegetables from Nature's Choice yesterday. It is being delivered today (London suburbs).
Also, in some areas, Deliveroo offer M&S foods from BP filling stations. My £10 order had free delivery but 49p service charge (?) and took about 30 minutes.0 -

They take several months to build from scratch. They cannot normally be hired from the local vehicle rental office. Most supermarkets have probably got a pool of a few spare vans in case of breakdown, but if they start using them as "extra" vehicles, what happens when they need one to cover for a breakdown?Going down the Oteley Road to see the Shrewsbury aces! :T1 -
Gloria_Steeth said:Deliveroo / M&S / BPJust been reading that Deliveroo has teamed up with 120 Marks & Spencer franchise stores at BP petrol stations to deliver a limited range of household essentials including milk, bread and ready meals.
Obviously, this is only useful if you live in the vicinity of one of the selected BP petrol stations but hopefully M&S might consider starting up some more food delivery options.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
