Morning folks
I seem to have woken up with OH's cold. Got a sore throat and feeling grotty. Got to work to have people telling me that I must have coronavirus. When I said that the symptoms weren't of coronavirus, they just told me that everyone has it differently! *sigh* I'm pretty sure it's the cold!
Today's mission:
B/L/D from stores
Shuffled some money between accounts. Have opened a new savings account so am transferring the money from the old one. It's a monthly one so I have to do it bit by bit. - done
Check PMP - done
Ask OH to do the housework very thoroughly as it's not been done for ages due to illness etc. - done
Charge phone in work - done
Crochet
Early night
Have a good one all

Hope you’re feeling better Carrie. I’m sure there are lots of people out there who sneeze once and a colleague (with zero medical experience) tells them its coronovirus yet aren’t too concerned normally when someone has a bad cold! Get hand washing people. All the time 👍🏻 Not just when something like coronovirus is in the news!Ditty hope today is better
My list today:
go and get click and collect item. It’s at a SM I don’t normally shop at but will see how much of my shop I can get there. It’s not an expensive one 👍🏻 Pleased I’ve been able to stretch the shop to 12 days since I last went and that includes 2 weekends 😃
check banking and update app
give DH a YN AB tutorial 😁
meals from stores
triage fridge
some more knitting
a couple of loads of washing on airer as it’s going to rain soon
Make cake if I have time
have a good day all. Purps.10 -
Morning all! Pouring here. Today I will be mostly:
-resisting buying a pink rabbit toy for World Book Day -hey, guess the book !! :-) We will DRAW a symbolic pink rabbit along with some vintage train tickets - more fun and FREE.
-lunch etc from stores. I caved in and bought a Tesco sandwich yesterday because I was late into work because I was behind a car crash on the way in and so then I missed my cheap staff parking spot and had to park in the expensive multi-storey and then was even later because the wretched 'pay by phone so easy!' app kept crashing AND SO I didn't have time to go to the staff room and make a pot noodle I'd brought with me. So basically a CAR CRASH cost me money, about £7. So annoying.
-check banks and think about reducing monthly repayments. I wat to see the outstanding amount going down but I am not able to put money into the 'annual expenses' pots doing it at this rate. I basically am using all my month's cash.
-feel guilty about v expensive weekend in which I blew £30 on coffee/lunch out
-the two points above may be related. Bring on quarantine/lockdown because it will save me a ton!
-TA2022PEAK Dec 2019: £24,273 -- NOW Virgin £2377 Markses £681 Halifax £6143 Loan £6696 Family loan £5819 TOTAL: £21,706 -- Paid off: £2308. Target: Jan 2023 LBM: monthly pay but weekly spend doh
December 2020 target = £18212 and nothing added to CCs AND by paying an extra 20 a month on something I just knocked 8 months off my target date :-)6 -
Hi everyone 👋
At 4am I realised why I'd been putting off sending the form into work... It's because I want Tuesdays off and not Fridays as I'd asked for... I emailed HR and my boss when I got up and now I feel so much better about it all. 😁 Long boring story, but isn't it nice when you realise something that seems so obvious and you can finally make decisions?! Feel like a weight is off my shoulders.
@PurpleFairy26 - hope you're enjoying YNAB and your hubby gets on with it too😊
@carrielovesfanta - get well soon. Some people just talk for the sake of it sometimes...🙄
@TryingAgain2022 - you've just reminded me I've got a voucher for a free book for world book day 👍
Just the usual from me today... Need to go and see what we're having for tea - think I'm going to do a pasta bake - leftovers for lunches too that way... If I can't be bothered it's frozen pizza.
Righto... got some stuff to do online so I best skedaddle 💨4 -
Evening all
OH and I don't have coronavirus either CLF, there are lots of other nasty viruses about, as usual at this time of the year. Thought mine had gone, but it seems to be coming back. Wish it would do one!Today I have:Had cooked home grown fruit from freezer with breakfast - this small thing saves me a fortune, as I always want fruit for breakfast, don't mind much what kind, and we get through loads of fresh fruit besides.Restocked sales unitAll food from home, not spent anything today
Gave our old camper van a run out this afternoon, just a few miles to a nice car park by the canal, for a canalside walk with the dog. Blew the cobwebs away a bit. OH gave a donation for the car parking (local canal charity, donation in lieu of official parking charges) - which enabled me not to spend anything
- but it was only £1 in any case Checked dates of tax, MOT and insurance for both our vehicles, and noted dates on calendar (been meaning to do this for ages)6
