What small dfw things will you do w/c 02/03?
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Morning guys
Another week and a new month to boot. Can't believe that we've already marched through 2 months of 2020 already!
My day has changed today and I now have the day free so I am going to use it to do 2 paid sewing jobs and finish off my leaflet for my little business.... The sewing jobs are a little more tricky than I've done before so will watch some sewing tutorials before starting
Other than those
* TOMM
* pay cc statement in full from various pots
* load of washing & double spin
* cook chicken drumsticks & bake a cake
* go through fridge/freezer/larder and make meal plan

* go for a run while madam is at her club
* return to sw eating plan as have put on a few lbs over the last few weeks
That's my lot! Have a great day everyoneDF as at 30/12/16

Thank you @determined_new_ms for starting this weeks thread.
I would like to finish last week's thread before properly joining in this week.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
One income, home educating family9 -
-use chunk of payday cash to stock up cupboards and freezer. Lockdown preparation! DONE
-use another chunk to complete World Book day outfit. This involves a cardy and skirt, nether of which DD currently owns, which both look right for the 1940s style Book Day outfit AND will be willingly worn again for the next year. Amazingly this has also been achieved. Thank god she didn’t want to be a pelican or something. DONE
-fill up with fuel. I usually do this in chunks but coronavirus. Want to be able to stay at home if need be.
-move money around after robbing all ‘savings’ pots to make it to the end of February.
Regular activities:
-meal plan
-bring lunch to work
-try to get into (not free but cheap) staff car park (failed miserably today, boo)
-30 min washes
-use up toiletries etc
-check banks
-use bullet journal to stay on track with adulting
-write down spends (got v bad at this the last couple of weeks, just stressed and full of cold)
One question - has anyone found a supply of hand sanitiser?? I went to grab some yesterday and Boots said they had none and couldn’t get new stock. Checked Amazon and again, all gone. A few 50ml bottles at, get this, £12 each. £12!!!!
Hoping the Govt makes manufacturers pump out more of this, as per USA’s virus response. Without it we are all just collecting germs on transport, in office buildings etc every time we touch anything. Keyboards! Phones! I touch nothing usually anyway but with this going round we really need to be able to stay hygienic when out and about.
That’s it. Still coughing. Still plodding towards DFW.

Hi gang 🙌
@determined_new_ms - thanks for the kick off. 😘 Tried your potato recipe yesterday, thanks - did it without the cheese to go with veggie haggis and it was perfect. Roasted some parsnips, added some gravy and we had ourselves a nice little Sunday dinner. 😁
@TryingAgain2022 - annoying on the hand sanitiser front! 😷
@PurpleFairy26 - aw, great news your DD wants to learn to sew and knit. Good for her! 😎
Another day another sale here. 👍 Annoyingly someone didn't show up to collect something I was giving away for free so will have to faff with that/offer it to next person etc - I find it's always the way with free stuff, people just aren't as invested and don't care.
TOMM'd living room - really needed it! Just need to do the floors later and we will have a spanking wee room 😎
Changed veg box delivery to fortnightly rather than weekly.
Reading free kindle book - I say 'reading' lightly as I've been on the same chapter for about a month!
Sending back stuff I've bought but not 100% sure on. Defo don't want to keep things that don't immediately spark that joy, do we now?! 😜
OH is at hospital today - good ol' NHS. We've never paid for the private medical we can get through work so I guess that is quite MSE...
Updated YNAB now most bills have gone out. I'm so sad that I can't wait to get paid at the end of April so I can top up all our yearly pots for insurance and stuff later in the year... 😂
Going to sort through all the carrier bags we have in the house and send them for recycling - Ocado give 5p per bag so may as well get rid of the majority of them.
Right, best get off, hope everyone has a good week. 💖9 -
Evening folks
Been very busy today in work and concentrating on things. Not feeling too brill but hopefully not the start of one of my turns. I'm due for one based on the current cycle
I do feel a bit stressed out at the moment. I think I need to stop reading the news over this coronavirus thing. It's not going to help by keep looking at it and with any luck, if I caught it, it would just be like nasty flu. I have been nagging OH about washing his hands properly. Although nothing new there.
I also feel a bit stressed about money. Not sure why as there's no real reason to be
Here's my things for today:
OH didn't go the gym today so I was able to get him to make the dinner before he left to teach.
B/L/D from stores
No sugar (trying to calm tummy)
Check PMP
Put away washing
10 mins of sanding in utility room
Charge phone in work
Bit of crochet
Have a good one all

Evening all
Babysat grumpy GS this morning, managed to get a few bits done before he arrived:Cooked fruit from freezer with breakfastFolded washing off airer and put upstairsQuick wash up / tidy up.OH did a bit of shopping (he had run out of beer, so I thought he might as well get the few things on my list as well)Late lunch, finished off tomato soupLoad of washing almost dried on line, now finishing off on the airerOH did the hoovering this afternoon while I went to my sales unitA bit of business paperwork as it was 'payday' todayChecked banks, updated spreadsheet etcSorted out some items to take to my sales unit tomorrow morning, I was too late to do this and restock today, once GS had gone home. Must price these up in a minute. Only little bits, they won't make my fortune!Made a frittata for dinner, used up various fridge bits. Had the rest of the apple cake made the other day for pudding.Got some pork steaks (I think!) out of the freezer for dinner tomorrow. Also some cooked turkey slices for lunchtime sandwiches. Project freezer use-up is continuing apace! Though there is a long way to go yet....
