I use the website and the app, I am always logged in and get price alerts most days.  I have still not had any email to say its closing, but I did get a price alert this morning which is strange if it is now closed.  I can still access both for now, though it seems a bit slow, but how long this will last who knows.  One of my favourite apps have been using many years and will really miss it as I find it so useful.

I use a computer & there is nothing there - not even the note that was there this morning!  I don't have a fancy phone so that is me out.  Out of sheer bloodymindedness though I will check the supermarkets own websites, but I wouldn't be surprised if they block them soon unless you are shopping online.

not surprised, I couldn't work out how they were making money and it seemed like a very complicated service to manage given that prices change all the time.

Very expensive overheads and no revenue stream - no wonder they closed

Just tried the website now and obviously saw the message so checked out here.
I haven't had any email from them but that might have  been due to my contact settings.
All seems very short notice - I don't know who was behind the site - perhaps there was a sudden withdrawal of essential funders?
How did it make its money to keep going? Seems they made some money from affiliate  referral fees paid for each  basket that was filled up then forwarded to the various supermarkets own sites.

Whoops I wasn't patient enough - all I have is an error message - I'll try my laptop but I think that's windows 10 too!

I'm surprised that the owners didn't sell the site - although perhaps there was some pressure from the supermarkets that presaged its fall. I'm not surprised that it didn't make money (as has been suggested). By the very nature of the site many of its users (like me) will have been searching item by item to find the cheapest source and so probably don't generally have large orders. We're cherry picking from all of the stores that we regularly visit (either on-line or physically). I for one would have been perfectly happy to pay an annual fee, which I'm quite sure I would have recovered many times over from the savings. That the owners didn't apparently explore changing their business model with their users may tell us that there were other pressures in play. I miss the app/web site every time I shop.

The latest was that it is up for sale.  They originally said all users details would be "deleted" straight away but have changed it to if it isn't sold by 30th April they will be deleted then.  Maybe they saw the suggestion that MSE should buy it & thought they were on to a good thing!
