So disappointed about MySupermarket, it's made such a difference to my shopping bill! Not sure what to do now. Wonder how many users there were??? Admittedly never considered how it was funded, and only ever used the site - hadn't got round to the app. Agree with others that it would be worth a small fee / membership if it could be continued!

I don't agree with the poster who relies on B&M for the best price. That's definitely not the case.
I'll stick to Aldi for the majority of my shopping and hope that I notice in my newspaper when there's 25% off wine! 😁

No idea what's going on - as Bacman points out, the site is still up and running, a day after the CEO said it would be taken down. I'm also rather curious at how it was announced very abruptly, and what "as we shift our activity toward other business areas" means. All seems a bit strange to me.As for Comparasaurus, thanks to those who have pointed it out, but aside from the Play Store rating (3.7 from only 26 votes) I suspect it may not quite be a like-for-like alternative. Haven't tried it out yet though, not least because I can't think why it would need all the permissions it asks for:read phone status and identity
read the contents of your USB storage
modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
receive data from Internet
full network access
draw over other appsMaybe there are good reasons, but I can't imagine what.Meanwhile, I live in hope that Mysupermarket will be (or has been) rescued somehow, as I found the offer alerts very useful indeed, and the individual supermarket websites don't offer that feature (and probably won't) as far as I can see.2 -
Bacman said:Is this forum thread accurate? Just tried mysupermarket.co.uk and it still works as good as always. It is now 2nd March, the day after the site was supposed to close??No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -

I also received an email telling me that mysupermarket was to close on 1st March. However, this morning I had an email from them. It was just a normal use us type email. I have done a shop today using mysupermarket and everything worked as normal. I have even received a "thank you for saving with mysupermarket" email.1

Re my previous post - it was the website I used not the app.1
