Can anyone help with this question? I have booked a holiday with 3 destinations and 4 flights. MAN-WRO-LVIV-WAW-BHX One of my flights (3rd flight) has been cancelled. Can I get a refund for the other 3 flights as I cannot complete my trip? 3 Flights have been booked with Ryanair the other with Wizzair and If so would that be Through my insurer or The Flight Company?

I have flights booked with Wizzair for early July to attend my nephew's wedding in Poland, which has now been postponed. I have been holding off cancelling the flights until there was more clarity provided about travel advice/rights in July.
Wizzair have now emailed a new itinerary for my flights. They state that if I do not accept the amended flights that I can get a 120% credit which is valid for 2 years.
I do not wish to rebook or accept the credit offered. Am I legally entitled to a refund?0 -
MrSpongeHead said:Yeah, think I need to see if they cancel the holiday, I should at least get the 20% discount to re-book then (hopefully). It's just annoying that it seems to be the differing advice between England and Wales is now causing the problem, as StaySure have now just said the shielding letter would invalidate my insurance.0

Please advise.
I had a flight and hotels booked for a trip to Italy on 5th July. Flights via Jet2, hotels via hotels. Com.
Flights been cancelled by Jet2 & they said they will contact me regarding a refund or I take vouchers.
I contacted hotels. Com and they said can't cancel yet. Come back on 1st July and then they will contact the property and tell me my options. Shall I wait or shall I charge back to my card?0 -
Help - Different Households
We are due to fly to Portugal with Easyjet on the 9th July. Everything else has been cancelled and we have refunds apart from the flights. We have been offered a voucher which will expire in 12 months. We booked the holiday in January for early July to celebrate the end of our daughters GCSEs so she will be in school this time next year. Her boyfriend is supposed to be coming with us but he obviously lives in a different house so that's the first obstacle. The second is we don't actually want to go on holiday in the middle of all this. Obviously is we cancel the flights ourselves we won't get any money back so we are playing the waiting game and hoping they will still cancel. But if they don''t what are our rights?0 -
Hi, we got stuck on holiday while in New Zealand and our flights got cancelled. We eventually managed to book return flights home and have claimed on our insurance. It looks like they are going to pay out for our flights but won’t cover us for personal incidentals like phone calls to the insurance company, bank to get a credit card increase, travel agent, additional food costs, etc as they have said the policy won’t cover these. Fortunately we was able to stay with friends so had no additional accommodation costs. They also won’t pay out for a taxi from the airport to home because we’ve only got a receipt from the taxi driver and nothing on an invoice or headed paper from the taxi company, we used a black cab outside the airport. Given the unusual circumstantial of the situation is there anything we can do or do we just have to take it and write off all the additional expenses we incurred as a result?
Any help or guidance is fully appreciated.
Thanks

Make a formal complaint, if they still refuse to refund you raise your case to the Ombudsman.

Hi, wondering if anyone can help - i have had a good search through to see if this has been answered, but among the thousand of different scenarios, i cannot see anything?
We had booked a hotel in Malta for the end of May - there was no travel possible at the time, travel to malta will reopen 15th July. We were due to go to my neices wedding and had booked with the hotel directly as my nephew lives out there, so my sister put us in contact with them.
We paid upfront for the whole weeks for mine and my partners room and my step daughter and her familys room. Obviously we were not able to travel, and now the wedding is no longer taking place in Malta. Therefore, we don't want to go out there anymore. We hadn't booked the flights so that part isn't an issue. The hotel are refusing to refund, as they are offering a Credit note, but as i said previously, we no longer have a need to go to Malta.
We went through Santander as we booked on Credit card, to try and get the money back, but they have writen to us today to advise that they cannot get the money back for us? Is travel insurence a route we can go down?
Any advice on how to proceed with this would be greatly received, we are talking about £1400, which would really come in useful at this time!!

My family were to holiday in Malta from 13th June for a fortnight with me joining them a week later. Malta is not reopening until 15th and hence their Ryanair flights are cancelled whereas mine remains available. Obviously I don’t wish to travel on my own. What are my options please.0
