Don't forget that cash flow has a lot of other components, for example, their expenses: salariesyaacov81 wrote:(as to the question about the interest i mentioned earlier - they only pay out cashback to us because they have received even more money from orange, therefore the money they have received and should have paid to us is probably sitting in a bank account somewhere earning interest for mr osps whilst we sit around waiting for our money)

Actually, it is more than 2 weeks old. The other thread ‘OSPS NOT paying cashback!’ was started 26/05.andy88 wrote:This thread is a week old. I am not good at the corporate low. Anybody, correct me if I am wrong. OSPS is not Carphone Warehouse. It is a ‘division’ of CPW. I guess it is a daughter company. Insolvency of a daughter company does not mean and doesn’t result in insolvency of a parent company. Parent company is usually liable only for the amount invested, i.e. they cannot lose more than original investment. Parent conpany is not liable for debts of a daughter company.andy88 wrote:Carphone Warehouse is not insolvent...
However, I agree that the fact that CPW has recently bought OSPS speaks against assumptions that OSPS has serious financial difficulties.0 -
Either CPW bought OSPS to close it down, or for it to continue trading; there are no indications whatsoever that the former is the case.
If you could be bothered to phone CPW Customer Care, this would become self-evident, as would the admission that there is currently a backlog of claims, all of which will be handled.0 -
Grumbler it appears that very recently you were all for OSPS, having attempted to place referral links here and on the Grabbit board. As you have acted as their agent in the past, perhaps we should ask you to intercede, instead of smearing them.0

Andy, don't you think that you go into personals again? Your post does not concern my last post - you even do not qoute anything.andy88 wrote:Grumbler it appears that very recently you were all for OSPS, having attempted to place referral links here and on the Grabbit board. The only point in your post that bears relation to the topic is that allegedly I 'am smearing' OSPS. Could you, please, give any examples of this besides that I wrote in the previous thread that 'they lie lightly'. The current thread is full of posts proving that this was correct:yaacov81 wrote:..told me they have run out of cheques!!!! ...this is contrary to the last time i called up when i was told that my cheque had been issued and was waiting to be posted...dave321 wrote:...2 June: checks should be in that week and will be sent out asap.
Today (06/06): still waiting for checks, should receive them this week and send them out this week or may be next... Phoned them today (09/06), twice just to see what different "customer care advisors" said. First; cheques should be with them tomorrow and then up to 14 days to receive cheque. Second: Expecting to receive cheques a week tomorrow and then receive cheque a week later.boatman wrote:I phoned today (10/06) and they said the cheques have arrived, and it would be 7/10 days for the cheque to get to me.cheghead wrote:Got an e-mail from a team manager this morning saying cheques were still not available. I also supposed before that at the moment they do not have money to pay cashback. Do you want to tell that you really believe in all these tales about cheques?keithboy37 wrote:... spoke to them 3 weeks ago. i was told the cheque would arrive within 7 days. these people are liars ...(10/06)0 -

post 10 in a thread started by grumbler, with referral link deleted by Board Guide
now I have done, will you still deny it?grumbler wrote:Your post does not concern my last post - you even do not qoute anything.
1. "I think, in this case they could run out of money :rotfl: "grumbler wrote:The only point in your post that bears relation to the topic is that allegedly I 'am smearing' OSPS. Could you, please, give any examples of this besides that I wrote in the previous thread that 'they lie lightly'.
2. "Let's face it: they just don't have money to pay cashback and make foolls of us with all these tales about cheques."

In February grumbler, you were happy to attempt to assuage any worries people may have had about OSPS, in order to attempt to earn yourself £20 per referral.
There is a difference between quoting what people have been told about cheques and attempting to defame the company. Now you repeatedly tell us that you don't believe they have any money, that they are insolvent, and try to imply that the new owner is not committed to supporting the company. Why?
As you can't be arsed to ring up CPW yourself, re-read what I said earlier. They admit there is a backlog which is being dealt with, and people will get their money in due course.0 -
I am closing this thread rather than have users continue to speculate on the demise of a company with no facts to back up the statements other than people are awaiting cheques for cashback.
Should users receive their cashback in a timely fashion, please feel free to start a new thread
