he told me they have run out of cheques!!!!
rather strange. anyone else had the same problem.

this is contrary to the last time i called up when i was told that my cheque had been issued and was waiting to be posted.
i never know what to believe from these people. but this is a novel excuse

Imagine how many cheque books they use in a week! I believe it - after all, they can hardly print their own just because the bank was a bit behind.

Is it worth suggesting they transfer straight to your bank account?

i guess you may be right, but why did they not tell me this the first time i asked two weeks ago.
anyway when i get near to the end of my cheque book my bank automatically sends me another.
as long as i get my money i am not too fussed

I think, in this case they could run out of money :rotfl:
It is not funny though, because I am waiting for a cheque too. _pale_

Do you think we should take this up with CPW customer services director now - after all it is now cpw who are being besmirched by osps (and it seems like osps have taken a turn for the worse both for offers and customer service since the cpw takeover)?
    I think....

I wouldn't buy AMYTHING from OSPS. In my view they are a hopeless shambles. Not many companies make life this difficult, not reply to messages and have rude staff. IT would appear that they do all they can in the hope that you give up.

They may well now be owned by CPW but they probably still have the old staff who are used to not giving a damn about the customer. Forget good deals - it ain't a good deal if you don't get your cash back or spend hours chasing it.
  • For anyone who doesn't already know, OSPS and e2Save and also CPW (not sure about CPW though) are handling all their calls in the same place - deffinetely e2save and OSPS (I was told this by an operator a week or two ago, but didn't actually ask about CPW). Usually I find customer service is just down to who you talk to, if you find yourself talking to an idiot, hang up and redial or ask to be transferred (I usually just redial, I have to queue again but they really dont like transferring to their collegues!)

I sent off the paperwork about6 weeks ago and still waiting for the check. Apparently, it's all processed OK and waiting for checks to come in. I now try and phone them once a day and see what the latest excuse is. For example:
18 May: Processed but as they have been taken over by CFW all the admin has slowed down.
25 May: Processed waiting to be posted out, should receive it in the next 7 days.
27 May: Waiting for checks, no estimate as to when they'll be posted out.
31 May: Processed, should have checks by end of week or following week.
1 June: Processed, still waiting for checks, no estimate.
2 June: checks should be in that week and will be sent out asap.
Today: still waiting for checks, should receive them this week and send them out this week or may be next.

Why not phone them each day, use the 01270 504400 and not the 0845 and maybe they'll get fed up with the calls! Pigs might fly!

Thanks for the update. I can't believe they can use this as an excuse! Crazy!
