Evening Turtles heres my update: Armour - Need to rearrange a few things otherwise I will run out of money this month. I’m going to have to reset budgets in April onwards due to increases in water bill & council tax.
Check out - there are far too many opened boxes of cereal in this house! I do tend to keep Rice Krispies for cakes and oats for flapjacks but there’s 4 other choices! I will not buy any more until they have gone and will limit choice to 2. Exercise- Weather is dreadful so no walking yet again 😬. Need to reach our goal of 31 miles by 31st March. Currently at 5.29 so the plan is to do 2 miles most days to cover the days we don’t go. Emptied DS paints storage box (in the kitchen) sorted and tidied and binned dried up pots. Wipe clean mat put in charity bag. NSD - gained 1 today so now 5/15 Gratitudes - DS doing really well in school. A clean, warm, cosy house. Nowhere I need to be in this rainy, cold night. Others in need - nothing here today.

Today I am grateful that my neighbour can call on us when she needs to, for getting work emails done, for a good day at work, for avoiding most of the rain again, for a good catch up with big sis, for dh cooking tea, for this morning's birdsong, for headspace, for warm clothes.
NSD 3 for me today, nothing bought, lots of leftovers used up. No shopping needed tomorrow either, but I have started a list with a couple of items. I will also need to buy some bits for my monthly donation to the food bank, so will probably go later this week. I spent some time this evening sorting the floor of the larder out, pulled out my box of empty jars, (which I will find a space for elsewhere) and sorted through them to discard jars with no lids and vice versa. Into the recycling with them. Larder much tidier now, so it is easier to see what I have and get to it when I want it.
Grateful for sunshine for a couple of hours this morning, a tidy larder and lots of nice leftover food so no need to cook beyond putting a couple of jacket potatoes in the oven.
Have been MIA - was my (50th!) bday on Fri and the eldest 2 both came home from their respective unis as a surprise for the weekend, which was fab! Have hardly been on any social media from Fri onwards as a result
CHECK out what you have in your cupboards, fridge and freezer. Had run freezers right down then had massive YS meat haul in Feb. However, it will all get used within March/ April -am thankful we refilled the freezers.... crazy stockpiling going on.....
HAVE all your budgets in place before the start of the month. Food, Travel, Bills, Entertainment, any one off bills or family birthdays. - DONE - although bday present from husband is a trip to NY... so need to factor in spends for that now!
EXERCISE .- I am aiming for 4 sessions/ week - went to gym on Fri. not much since.....
REDUCE Tread lightly upon the earth. Reduce spending, screen time, clutter, stress, - 2 flebay sales today
NO SPEND DAYS (NSDs) 4 - none for Fri/ Sat/ Sun. One today
THREE things each day to be grateful for. lovely surprise of big kids coming home, lovely bday presents, yummy chocolates, yummy bday cake
I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul
Happy Birthday greent !!! How lovely the 'big smalls' came home to party with you.
Today has been sponsored by ys bargains so NSD 5
I am soooo bored with my kids asking when they get to stay off school due to the covid/corona virus. I don't flippin' know!
It is raining hard here and blowing a gale. Grateful for being home, safe and warm, for ys bargain haul, for the food in my house and the warmth in my bed . For DS3 &4 doing the washing and drying up after supper - they are up to something nefarious.
Just found out my free kid activity on Saturday has been cancelled due to C-19. It was a good one too. Boo!
Sorry for lack of check in yesterday evening - felt great when I woke up but spent the day dozing and reading. Apparently the body recovers best during sleep so I'm going with that. Grateful for rest, reading, being prepared. I'm not a full-on prepper but do check in with them from time to time. Thanks to the virus I've had since December and normal winter preparation, I'm feeling ahead of the game. I bought two large bottles of hand sanitiser in January in a bid to stop 're-infecting' myself and toilet rolls and tinned/ dry foods are at reasonable levels (not prepper levels - don't have a cellar full or huge casks of bottled water). Or weapons stashed anywhere (not our preppers but DS1's experience in a job he had when younger).
Day 10
AS illness is in the news (Beloved was updating me last night - she's very happy about my tins and toilet roll 'obsession') I thought I'd share a few tips this week (a lot from the 'poorlies' thread on the Old Style board)
Just because you can't do everything, doesn't mean you can't do anything. Make a start. (this has got me through lots of tasks that seemed nigh on impossible before I tried).
Mental Wellness Day 10
How have your mental health struggles mad you a stronger person?
I am not a social butterfly
I am some sort of antisocial bat lurking in the darkness.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
Sad so see people stockpiling everything in the shops now. Stocks of everything looked low. I bought some easter eggs just in case.;-) Needed butter and veg today so under ten pounds spent including easter eggs.
Went to the gym last night, plan to go Mon, Weds and Friday. However tomorrow maybe a short session got a foot clinic appt, will get half back off medicsh so a nice treat.
I need a serious look at my budgets need to get organised more. Cancelled my hair appointment £40 saved today.
