Good evening
No new NSDs to report I'm afraid - still stuck on 3. Yesterday paid staff lottery, and today a friend showed up unexpectedly and we had chips in the park under the sun which was lovely!
Today I am grateful for:
1) The sunshine that has been with us the last few days.
2) My impromptu lunch out with my friend
3) For being given a new opportunity
Get well soon Mothernerd... sounds like you are on the mend x I chuckled at your comment Apple about claiming extra points for your 'waterfalls'
I have an interview Tuesday which is a promotion but I am so nervous and keep worrying if I am doing the right thing... but in the long term it should be more beneficial (e.g. to pension etc) so I am going with it. I haven't started by preparation yet! I'm always last minute! Will try and do some this evening...
Have a lovely evening folks and I will chat tomorrow.⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

I stopped sewing. I made good progress and if I showed it to someone else they could think it was finished but I want to add an additional line of colour to the 'frame' and a short inscription. I started off with a pain in my neck and it developed to the point where I could barely move. I dismantled one of the frames to try it for size. Went out to buy some double sided tape (they didn't have what I wanted to kept my NSD) but struggled on the way back, ended up sat on the edge of the library flowerbeds wheezing and choking. I am disappointed not to finish the work but I've put a lot of hours into them and it would be a pity to rush now and spoil them - I had reached the point where I would make errors. So I've had a horsechestnut bath (got in with no idea if or how I was going to get out). Actually did well getting out, I must be losing weight and the bath itself was wonderful, the heat on my shoulders and back really loosened things up. So I will relax, have an early night, then go and meet my grandpuppy tomorrow and have a lovely meal with DS1 and my wonderful d-i-l. Two buses and a 3 block walk in between but won't be carrying much.Today I am grateful for the work I have done, for easy food and hot baths. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9

Friday check in- Thursday and today both spend days, Thursday milk and bread, and today a bigger than initially planned proper shop. I now have fully stocked cupboards and should only need a minimal amount of fresh stuff for the next 10 days or so.
No further tidying/decluttering.
There has been music, dancing and singing tonight.
Gratitudes- shop having all the things I needed to buy (although there were lots of empty shelves, went to look at the soap section to see if the "panic buying" rumours were true- and they were essentially empty- why? Did people not wash there hands BEFORE?), DD sharing lots of stories from school, plans in the pipeline.

mothernerd - take care.apple - it makes a change for the north to be warmer.I did end up spending a small amount of money yesterday on two cans of g&t for me and three packs of evening primrose oil for the dog, he has flare ups of a skin condition which it turns out one of his sons has and a vet advised this so we are giving it a whirl.People panic buying is crazy, the media is really getting on my nerves with this whole coronavirus, I said to DH yesterday if the queen dropped dead we wouldn't hear another thing about it to which he replied not if she dropped dead of the coronavirus.Plan for today is to get DD to work, take DS for a haircut then get all our rubbish to the tip. A lot of it is recycling but there is an old carpet, I'm not one of those people who thinks the tip is a black hole to another world, I know this stuff is still with us but what else can you do with a piece of seventeen year old carpet. We also need to return some things to B&Q and Dunelm, drop a charity bag off and look for a mirror for DS's room in the furniture charity shops.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

NSD 3 yesterday
Am off on a day out with my Brownies in a minute (being Brown Owl is quite entertaining).
I am grateful for lovely dinners, no rain at the moment, a long walk yesterday with my partner (almost 20000 steps) and a straightforward day at work.NST January Turtles number 2510 -
Good morning! I have finally got out of bed. My back hurts like mad - I do not often do illness or pain, as I am not good at it. I am hoping it is just that I have been doing a lot more walking and stair climbing and my muscles are protesting. That I can live with, if it is for no good reason, then I am not happy. Frankly it is just unreasonable. All but one of the c/s bargains fit perfectly, one is too small on the top, but then my top might shrink, so will keep it until the weather improves, and release it back into the wild if it still does not zip by then. I have unruly boobs.Today is meter readings (yawn), quick squizz round the local c/shops (they are in addition to the 10 I visited in the neighbouring town during the week), and cleaning the back room and kitchen. The areas I decimated before Christmas have stayed tidy, and are still easy to clean, so I am happy that stuff must be in the right place, although a camping bed appears to have moved into the pantry. DH is looking shamefaced - it looked smaller online he claims.Going to descale the coffee machine and kettle.I will not be doing the 'still, calm and quiet' mindfulness stuff, as it makes me want to descend into a killing rage. I seriously dislike quiet, and if the blackbird that has been shouting his head off at daybreak all this week ever hears what I say about it and its scrawny neck, it will be so embarrassed it will turn into a robin. I mean who wakes up and starts shouting at all the neighbours at 6.15? (insert rude word). If I turned off the voices in my head, nothing would get done, and I might start to worry I was a ghost.I will swap meditation for a hot bath and painting my toenails.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Had a bit of a spendy day today as got a gift and a few other bits - all in budget - but not in my super saver budget that was supposed to run for March. The gift was for a friend that I see all the time and she has had a rough year with an operation etc and it just flet like the right thing. We also went for cake. Naughty as I have now started weighing myself in on Saturday mornings. Nothing to report so far. Am grateful for friends, an other parkrun PB even though I dragged myself around the course and for being home all weekend.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

f0xh0les - I'm not into mindfulness either, I have a very, very busy mind which needs to be kept entertained or it gets into mischief.Tried to fit DS's blind and have completely wrecked it, it needed cutting down to size and that is where the problems started, it shouldn't really be sold as trimmable so I will be returning it - imagine if you will Ross returning his sofa in Friends. Anyhoo, the old blind has gone back up so we have wasted 2 hours and now have 4 screw holes to fill and sand and then repaint.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
