Mothernerd - I had wondered about the irony of your middle-of-the-night post about good sleep! Hope tonight is better.Today I am grateful for my work, for the efficiency of emails, for having somewhere to dry off and warm up after getting soggy and very chilled, for doing a gym workout, for going to an interesting careers convention at dd's school, for hardly any screen time, for liddle stocking exactly what I went in for.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

Today I am really grateful for: The sun shining and getting home from work while it was still light; NT1 getting her stitches out and getting the all clear at the vets; YNAB helping me to get my head round the budget in a very short space of time.
Work was just about survival and not a lot else - I'm still not great mentally but I got through it. Didn't spend any money, which is always a bonus, and I am also another day closer to the weekend.
Not giving up

Still on NSD 1 as I did a big shop at Lidl this afternoon. I will need a couple more bits for Sunday, and need to do my food bank donation for the month, and then I am done with shopping for a while I hope! Spent the morning batch cooking. I made 3 x turkey ham and veg pies, a big pot of ham and veg soup and a lamb and apricot tagine. We had some of one of the pies for dinner, and there will be enough left for tomorrow as well. I have frozen the other two. The other items are safe in the fridge - I will probably freeze some tomorrow, but they are ok where they are for now. The weather has been truly horrible, heavy rain all day, and when it eventually stopped it turned really cold. Not grateful for the weather today!I am however grateful for nice food, bargainous garden compost from Lidl (£1.99 per 40l bag if anyone else is interested) and the shopping having been done. The centre of town is closed off due to roadworks and it takes ages to get around by car. I generally walk the couple of miles there and back, but I had far too much to carry today!7

Still on NSD2, but I did my charity shop crawl today (like a pub crawl, but without alcohol, and you go home with more clothes than you left the house with). 4 summer dresses, one long skirt, one blouse, £20 spent. Happy me. I have been trawling the ys aisles the last few days, so the pantry is stocked, the fridge respectably full, I have meals planned until Tuesday. Had a big expense with the tv aerial that decided life as a dangling chimney decoration was preferable to being an aerial, so £220 later I have a shiny new erection on top of my house, DS2 has stopped whining about his reception, and the tv in the kitchen works again so I have been folding laundry again and the kitchen is tidy. DH insisted on paying,

For some reason I am bizarrely fascinated with the programme 'Naked and Afraid'. It would make Bear Grylls more interesting anyway. It is utter tat but I keep watching, I suppose it is my 'soap opera', - it is on when I am prepping supper.Today I am grateful for:nobody crying at the volunteering today (narrowly avoided),3 hours of wandering around shops, avoiding all rain showers - ha ha ha!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I know I am late to the game, but may I join please?
I feel off the thread in February, becuase of the new layout, I wasn't getting daily emails and forgot.
I am going to have lots of spending on flights this month, as I have three trips coming up.
2 NSD so far
I am very grateful for the last three days of sunshine which have been wonderful, for finding a perfect birthday present for my partner at the last minute, for making my lunches to take to work every day, for the cheap rasperry plants in the supermarket which will hopefully give us plentiful fruit come summer; for wonderful books, for my partner who is so understanding whenever days are bad.NST January Turtles number 2511 -
Morning folks. Gorgeous sunshine here for the last few days too, warm enough to go out with a gilet instead of a coat which makes a change. Have been spending on the last couple of bits for DS's room, we got a blackout blind which we need to fit tomorrow and a floating shelf for his books. Dog had his booster last night, when he is nervous he gets very over excited and he ended up having a piddle on the waiting room floor, he is a big dog and it was a big piddle. Called into B&M and got some bits that Tesco didn't have or were much cheaper, need to get fruit and veg today but I think that is the only spending.Plan for today is to apply for a couple of jobs, clean the top of the kitchen cupboards, fridge, all the appliances and take everything of the worktops and clean thoroughly, vacuum downstairs and dust, walk the dog, clean the bathroom and do the school run.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Still feeling very inadequate at work as my concentration and confidence is low. Am trying to do my best for students, but don't always hit the mark for what they need.
