    Regarding the Natwest regular saver
It says 6% up to 5k but you can only put £150 max per month. It's there a way to increase the amount that's in there please?
Double round ups - but as per my above post, not a good idea now IMO

Edit - it was a post I sent today, but it’s not the above one

Think that would depend on how you do it. Can't say I've had any issues using putting about an extra £500pm
How do you do it please?
Open an NS&I direct saver. Switch on double round ups in the Natwest app, then make a load of £1.01 deposits into it using your Natwest debit card. Each transaction will result in £1.98 being rounded up into your digital regular saver. You can do 99 of these per day per current account.
Great, thank you for explaining, does it have to be an NS&I account pls?

Anywhere that accepts debit card deposits, but some (Skipton) get quite annoyed about it. NS&I doesn't seem to care - so far.

N.B. You'll get round ups on any payment, including spending in shops or amazon as long as you use your debit card. These funds are taken from your own current account when they round up - unfortunately it's not free money.

Has anyone had their ecology rs dd debited from their current account for this month yet please? I have down it as due to go yesterday (catering for the BH - 2nd WD), but it didn’t go and hasn’t again today either. Thanks

I cancelled my Ecology regular saver due to a surplus of DDs. My Ecology easy access DD hasn't gone out yet though. Ecology have waited till 4th-5th of the month before debiting in the past irrespective of bank holidays so I wouldn't worry about it.

    EDIT:
    Has now gone through.

NS&I for me. I once did 396 in one day (99 from each of my Natwest/RBS current accounts)

I wonder whether you've actually sat and worked out the earned hourly rate in some of these schemes

It's one thing using up a bit of spare time, but people come to place a value on having the time spare

When I did those lot I think it worked it out to be around £3-4/hr.

What can I say. It was January, pouring it down with rain and pretty cold outside so I didn't want to go out. I had 5 hours to spare so thought I may as well do something productive.

    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

Ecology DDs are debited from your account on the third working day of the month.

Does anyone know how long it takes for First Direct to transform their regular saver into an easy access when it matures? Mine did on the 30th, I've had the interest applied but still can't access the money or open a new regular saver.

First Direct are (in my experience) always slow.  I always end up having to call them to get them to release the funds, as I don't want their 1.30% interest that'll it'll be earning in the easy access account.  They say allow 5 working days, but it's taken longer than that for me if I don't nudge them.
