Has anyone had their ecology rs dd debited from their current account for this month yet please? I have down it as due to go yesterday (catering for the BH - 2nd WD), but it didn’t go and hasn’t again today either. Thanks

Just spoken with Ecology - turns out despite Barclay's clear and continued reassurance that Ecology wouldn't even know of the new details as it was all internal, and that the DDs for ecology in May would go out as normal, they cancelled the DD mandate on 27th April and set up another one, which due to the timing will first go out in June.

I'm not going to run around to find another DD I can move to Barclays to fix this, as I would have to move some from other accounts which would then be left DDless. I guess it'll be another complaint to Barclays - unbelievable 😑

@ForumUser7, I've just check my Ecology Regular Saver and see that my standing order hasn't arrived into the account, despite it showing as having left Barclays Blue.  Why have Barclays cancelled the DD, is this just on your account or over the board, please?

It seems to be just my account, due to misinformation from Barclays. AFAIK, Ecology's online portal updates ~18:30pm with daily deposits

My Monmouthshire Coronation Regular saver passbook has just arrived. Cheque deposited 24/4/23 but no sign of it being debited from my account yet.

I'm certainly not complaining though as I've been earning interest on my £300 deposit in two accounts for over a week and counting so long may this sort of delay continue so far as I'm concerned.
Posted MonBS Coronation application to head office 21/4 first class with cheque for £300.  Cheque debited from my current account today. Passbook received today with date of opening as 02/5 and opened at Chepstow branch. Patience is a virtue!

Does anyone know if Natwest will get pizzled off like Chase do if you use Chip to cheese the round ups to put more money into the regular saver? I've tested it and it works but will they have a problem with it?

I've done hundreds of them in the past as evidenced by one of my earlier posts and they don't seem to mind. Though having said that the banks don't always tell you if they're getting slightly rattled with your account activity until it's too late as I've found out with LBG recently so it may be worth avoiding using them too excessively.

By all means do a dozen or so here and there, just maybe avoid doing 396 across 4 accounts each day until the regular savers are full.

If they were bothered, they'd amend the T&Cs to prevent it. The problem is that if you make a large number of very small transactions in a short period, your card's likely to get blocked as this is indicative of fraudulent activity. So probably not worth the hassle.

As @Bridlington1 suggests above, do a few here and there rather than sitting and doing a hundred one after the other. And vary the merchants used, and where possible use genuine spend rather than manufactured 1p transactions.

My May MONBS deposits are now showing, with a credit date of May 2. Seems all is well now with their systems.

The balance is fixed at my end too now.

All is well, apart from the interest due dates on the Coronation RS which incorrectly show 31st March rather than the maturity date.

I've done 10 to NS&I (5 from RBS and 5 from NatWest) yesterday as a test run. Took 8 minutes to do it.  Started doing it again today and now for each transaction from both cards I had to go to the apps to approve it.  Is this normal? I've also done some from TSB, which needs some card payments for bonuses, and these went without asking for approval on both days.

I tend to find from the 6th payment onwards within 24 hours, RBS/NW request authorisation
