Good point. At maturity, the account converts into an Easy Saver account, from which you can withdraw the funds in a branch, but online you can only transfer to another Lloyds account. So it looks like a trip to a Lloyds branch for me next April :-)colsten said:
Worth checking that you can FP your matured funds out w/o having a Lloyds current account.Fingerbobs said:Lloyds Bank Monthly Saver (the 2% fixed one) - It appears to be possible to open one of these even if you don't have a Lloyds current account, provided you have a login to the Lloyds online banking site.I've never had a current account with Lloyds, and have just successfully opened a Monthly Saver, and funded it directly from my Santander current account. The application literally took a few seconds, and a few clicks (didn't even need to type anything) and the account appeared immediately.

Just about worth keeping £1000 SO payment for 1/5 because most of the month will be at the higher rate. Then ten £20 monthly SO`s. "Are we fighting a losing battle" comes to mind!

If anyone is interested in opening a Lloyds Current account so as to open the Club Lloyds Regular Saver and Monthly Saver, the process was very quick and easy. I was also able to open both regular savers even before I had my online access to the new current account.0

The Monthly Saver permits withdrawals to non-Lloyds accounts. You could transfer the balance and close the account the day before maturity. You'll lose a day's interest, but will save a trip to a branch.Fingerbobs said:

May I ask how you had a log in without having an account with them?Fingerbobs said:Lloyds Bank Monthly Saver (the 2% fixed one) - It appears to be possible to open one of these even if you don't have a Lloyds current account, provided you have a login to the Lloyds online banking site.I've never had a current account with Lloyds, and have just successfully opened a Monthly Saver, and funded it directly from my Santander current account. The application literally took a few seconds, and a few clicks (didn't even need to type anything) and the account appeared immediately.

All depends what my other accounts do. I've currently got money in a Kent Reliance Easy Access Saver paying 1.3%, and have yet to hear about a rate reduction. So probably worth bunging in my £1k pm into the Xmas and Super Savers on the basis I should be hearing from Kent at some point....where_are_we said:cosh25 said:Just an FYI to those who have or are looking to open the Monmouthshire BS Christmas Saver or Saver Plus the current rate of 1.55% (including the 1% bonus) is reducing to 1.20% from 28/05/20.

In one day, well about an hour, I opened the Lloyds Bank Monthly saver, TSB regular saver, Halifax regular saver & Bank of Scotland regular saver - all at 2% fixed and £250 per month. Very quick and simple.Fingerbobs said:Lloyds Bank Monthly Saver (the 2% fixed one) - It appears to be possible to open one of these even if you don't have a Lloyds current account, provided you have a login to the Lloyds online banking site.I've never had a current account with Lloyds, and have just successfully opened a Monthly Saver, and funded it directly from my Santander current account. The application literally took a few seconds, and a few clicks (didn't even need to type anything) and the account appeared immediately.Love is GRAND..........Divorce is 100 GRAND!0 -

Who is this account for:
It's only available to Lloyds Bank current account holders who have not already opened one of these accounts in the last 12 months.
