Saffron maturity package  you could have opened another regular saver with same account number and interest rate. My matured funds are now in my nominated account and first payment of £500 for the next 12 months regular saver showing in the account

My Saffron RS also matured yesterday; I recall being contacted regarding maturity instructions. OP did you not get contacted?

I logged in and confirmed my linked bank account and it also gave me the opportunity to fund a new RS as previously mentioned.

Today, new account opened and funded and remainder transferred to my bank.

    Like a well-oiled machine.

Yes, I received an email with a link to the Maturity Pack, but I opted for the default option to just allow the account to convert into a Maturity Saver then deal with the funds manually. I did not expect to be unable to transact on the Maturity account online.

My Chorley payment is showing in my nominated account as being paid in tomorrow
My new regular saver is showing 1.25% too, they stated you would keep same account number. So for me no complaint
Intrigued I secure messaged them. Reply - 1.05%.
  • Just logged in again and it is showing as 1.05% now

  • Silly question no doubt, but my Saffron regular saver matured yesterday, and it has turned into a Maturity savings account paying 0.1%, which I can see online, but can't see any way to transfer money out of the account. Am I missing something?

Something similar happened to me with a maturing Saffron RS in May 2020.  They did accept instructions via Secure Message, though I did labour the point about it being a pandemic and not wanting to attend branch.  I did the maturity instructions this time to avoid a repeat.

I was not quick enough with filling out Maturity instructions for the Saffron Regular Saver and the account matured before I could confirm my decision on the maturing Regular Saver.
I sent a polite Secure Message inside Saffron BS online banking, asking if I could convert the Maturity Saver into a new Saffron BS Members Regular Saver keeping the first month's deposit from the matured account's funds, and the remainder of the matured account balance being transferred to another Instant Saver that I already had open with Saffron.
The Customer Service team were prompt in reply, and confirmed that they could do all this and keep the same sort code and account number for the new Members Regular Saver.
They completed all this within 24 hours.
Very prompt, speedy and courteous service from Saffron, without any brach visit requirements.

Leeds BS has an RS product, starting today, after a break of several years.

Its terms are underwhelming: 1.00% variable, max £250 pm.  But in fairness, I feel this product's two year life is a plus and, more importantly, it is possible to close the account any time without penalty providing certain T&Cs are adhered to.

In the product info (https://www.leedsbuildingsociety.co.uk/_resources/pdfs/savings-pdfs/REGSAVER23.pdf ) it does say:

The account may be closed for further deposits at any time. This will be done on a minimum of 30 days’ written notice, after which you will not be able to deposit further funds.

One penalty free withdrawal is useful too.

Can't see any minimum monthly deposit too
